    Abstract: A roaming user profile is stored in a remote profile database accessible via a mobile communication network. The roaming user profile stores configuration information and settings for a mobile terminal. The configuration settings may relate to the user interface, customizable features of applications, and programmable functions of the mobile terminal. The roaming user profile can be accessed remotely by a mobile terminal in response to a login event to retrieve the configuration settings for a user and to configure the mobile terminal.
