  • Patent number: 6402548
Abstract: A device comprising a connecting strip from which contact pins extend. The connecting strip extends in a plane perpendicular to the direction in which the pins extend, and a connecting pin extends from each of the two opposed longitudinal edges of the connecting strip in the region of each connecting terminal. Two connecting pins facing each other form a clip which allows interconnection by gripping the edges of an insulation-displacement and retaining slit.

  • Patent number: 5622517
Abstract: A connection module including an insulating housing inside which a conductive connector part is held stationary, which connector part has a slot for receiving an electrical wire, into which housing an auxiliary part penetrates that is provided with a wire-pusher element mounted to slide in the housing along the slot and along a wire-receiving opening in the housing. The auxiliary part is provided with an operating element which projects from the housing, and which is held in the pushed-in position by co-operation between a holding mechanism that it carries and complemetary holding mechanism in the housing. Structure provided on the operating element make it possible to act from the outside on the holding mechanism, thereby releasing the auxiliary part when it is held stationary so as to enable it to slide.

  • Patent number: 5584722
Abstract: A slot connector terminal structure for an electrical wire, in particular for an electrical terminal block, in which structure at least one conductive connector part is held stationary in a housing (5) provided with a wire-insertion through opening (23) extending facing an insulation-displacement and core-retaining slot (6) in the connector part, which opening makes it possible firstly for a wire to be connected to be inserted transversely above the slot, and secondly for the wire to be subsequently held stationary via its sheath, the housing further including positioning means for positioning a special connection tool, which positioning means are implemented in the form of a projecting element through which a moving blade of the tool penetrates. The projecting element is provided with a slot (13) into which the wire-insertion through opening (23) opens, which slot makes it possible for the blade of a tool to penetrate into and slide along the slot inside the housing.

  • Patent number: 5123853
Abstract: A connector ensure the wired connection of a piece of equipment in series with a multiconductor cable for transmitting low currents.A support block (5) has a plate on which through and closed end grooves are formed respectively for the passage of the wires of the cable (2) and wires (3A, 3A') for connecting equipment in series. The closed end grooves be adjacent one of the through grooves, at the level of a connection piece (6) partially housed in these two grooves for interconnecting wires. Each of the through grooves (20A) is provided with a median cavity (21) which interrupts the grove locally and which receives a wire cutting device means (6C). The two connection pieces housed in the same through groove are situated on each side of the cavity (21) and each allows the connection of a second different wire (3A, 3A').

  • Patent number: 4776812
Abstract: The invention relates to a connection arrangement having a rectilinear insulation-piercing and wire-retaining slit, and to a tool endpiece for providing connection between wires (2) and such arrangements. The insulation-piercing and wire-retaining slit extends longitudinally along a profile-shaped portion (31, 32, 33) of a conductive part (3) having a U-shaped cross-section with the free ends of the U being folded towards each other and leaving a space therebetween corresponding to the width of the slit, said profile-shaped portion being intended to serve as a guide for the endpiece of the connection tool (6). The endpiece includes a core (60) whose shape is complementary to the shape of the cavity in the profile-shaped portion and which slides therealong. The endpiece slides parallel on either side of each of the folds (31) delimiting the slit in the profile-shaped portion, and it enters the housing via a hole (51) whose shape is complementary thereto, which hole, serves to guide the tool.

  • Patent number: 4729738
Abstract: An insulation-piercing connection arrangement for an electric wire in which an auxiliary insertion part (4) is displaced by a removable shank (5) acting as a lever in order to apply the necessary pressure for slicing through the insulating covering (20) of an electric wire (2) to be connected, and to insert the core (21) of said wire in a slit. The auxiliary insertion part (4) has a shank-receiving duct passing therethrough and includes a pusher (40) for pressing against the wire to be connected, it also includes a guide device (43) including wheels which co-operate with guide grooves (73) provided in the housing (7) containing the connection arrangement in order to enable the auxiliary insertion part (4) to perform pseudocircular insertion motion, thereby accelerating the tilting thereof when it is displaced between its two extreme positions.
