Publication number: 20240318523Abstract: A well tool device, which is for injecting an injection fluid through a hole in a well bore, includes a mandrel, an expandable sleeve provided circumferentially outside of the mandrel, a first and second expander, an injection fluid system, and a control fluid system. The first expander is for moving a first side of the expandable sleeve between a radially retracted state and a radially expanded state. The second expander is for moving a second side of the expandable sleeve between a radially retracted state and a radially expanded state. The injection fluid system includes an injection fluid line and a nozzle element. The nozzle element provides fluid communication between the injection fluid line and an outlet provided on the outside of the expandable sleeve. The control fluid system controls the fluid pressure in a first fluid compartment provided radially between the expandable sleeve and the mandrel.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 19, 2022Publication date: September 26, 2024Applicant: Interwell Norway ASInventors: Espen Hiorth, Arild F. Patent number: 11280181Abstract: A method for testing an integrity of a primary barrier arranged in a well includes arranging a first sealing device above the primary barrier in a position axially spaced from the primary barrier in the well, which establishes a test chamber confined by the first sealing device and the primary barrier. The method further includes arranging a second sealing device above the first sealing device in a position axially spaced from the first sealing device in the well, which establishes a further test chamber between the first sealing device and the second sealing device. The method also includes reducing a pressure of the test chamber to a predetermined test pressure, monitoring the pressure of the test chamber and a pressure of the further test chamber after the pressure reduction, and verifying the integrity of the primary barrier if no pressure increases or decreases are detected in the test chamber after the applied pressure reduction.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 2018Date of Patent: March 22, 2022Assignee: Interwell Norway ASInventor: Arild F. Patent number: 10082005Abstract: A device for setting and retrieving a crown plug in a well head. The device has a mandrel device, an outer housing device, a snap sleeve device downwardly protruding from the lower end of the mandrel device and a locking element. The device has an upper plug connection device and a lower plug connection device for connection to the upper connection interface and a lower plug connection device of the crown plug, respectively. An annular compartment is provided radially outside at least parts of the locking element and radially inside a lower end section of the mandrel device. An upper end of the snap sleeve device is provided axially displaceable in the annular compartment. The lower plug connection device may be configured between a locked state and an unlocked state by axial displacement of the snap sleeve device in relation to the locking element.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2016Date of Patent: September 25, 2018Assignee: Interwell ASInventors: Helge Salomonsen, Trond Eidebakk B. Lunde, Arild F. Stein

Patent number: 9267345Abstract: The invention relates to a flow activated circulating valve (1). The valve comprises an outer housing (10) comprising radial ports (11) provided axially between an upper portion (1a) of the valve (1) and a lower portion (1b) of the valve (1). An inner sleeve (20) provided inside the outer housing (10), where the inner sleeve (20) is providing an axial bore (21) through the upper portion (1a) of the valve (1) to the radial ports (11). A cylinder compartment (30) is provided between the inner sleeve (20) and the outer housing (10). A piston (40) is arranged for axial and rotational movement in the cylinder compartment (30), where the piston (40) comprises piston ports (41) arranged to provide fluid communication between the axial bore (21) and the radial ports (11) when the piston (40) is in an open position (P0), and where the piston (40) is arranged to prevent fluid communication between the axial bore (21) and the radial ports (11) when the piston (40) is in closed positions (P1, P2, P3).Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 2012Date of Patent: February 23, 2016Assignee: Interwell ASInventors: Eirik Grande, Arild F.
