  • Publication number: 20250049536
Abstract: A device includes a housing and a charge storage device coupled to the housing. The charge storage device includes a first terminal and a second terminal and is configured to store an electrical charge. The device includes a retrieval tip, including a first electrode electrically connected to the first terminal of the charge storage device, a second electrode connected to the second terminal of the charge storage device, and an insulator disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. The insulator is configured to inhibit a flow of electricity directly between the first electrode and the second electrode and when a distal end of the retrieval tip is positioned in proximity to a conductive object, the electrical charge is discharged between the first electrode and the second electrode through the conductive object.

  • Patent number: 12090019
Abstract: A bite block with inclined surfaces fits between a patient's upper and lower jaws to hold them apart and fixes the bite block position relative to the jaws. A support plate slides relative to the bite block to position a needle guide on the support plate along an axis of the support plate. A position stop on the support plate contacts the anterior border of the Ramus of the patient's mandible to position the needle guide along the axis. A syringe needle is guided by the needle guide to a predetermined location to administer anesthetic, preferably to the inferior alveolar nerve as it enters the mandible. The needle guide is inclined to avoid gaging and a tongue depressor attached to the support plate positions the patient's tongue.

  • Publication number: 20200000549
Abstract: Dental surgical stents can be used to assist a dental surgeon. A hard tissue stent can include an access hole formed in one side and may be placed over one or more of the patient's teeth where the access hole is accurately aligned at a location for drilling to, for example, remove infection. Suction channels may be included in the stent to provide suction about the access hole to remove saliva, water, bone debris and the like, during the surgical procedure. A soft tissue stent may be placed over one or more of the patient's teeth, where the stent can include a mark positioned where the surgeon is to cut to create an access flap in the soft tissue. By keeping the flap attached to the semi-circular window of the soft tissue stent, the surgeon can more easily return the flap to the proper position.
