    Abstract: When a slewing motor is at a stop, a first slewing control unit of a controller that controls an operation of the slewing motor sets a first monitoring area that is set with respect to a slewing body as a designated area, and then controls, depending on whether an obstacle is detected in the first monitoring area, whether to prohibit or allow start of the slewing motor in response to a drive manipulation. Furthermore, a second slewing control unit of the controller sets one or more second monitoring areas that are set at places remoter from the slewing body than the first monitoring area as the designated area, and then controls, depending on whether the obstacle is detected in the second monitoring area(s), whether to limit the operation of the slewing motor in response to the drive manipulation after the start of the slewing motor is allowed.

    Abstract: An obstacle detection device detects an obstacle existing in one or more monitoring areas that are set to correspond to a movable part. A state determination unit determines whether a state of the actuator is a standby state or a suspended state under circumstances where the actuator is at a stop. On determination that the state of the actuator is the standby state, a display control unit executes automatic image output that is processing for causing a display device to display a monitoring image corresponding to a monitoring area in which the obstacle is detected out of the one or more monitoring areas. On determination that the state of the actuator is the suspended state, the display control unit stops the execution of the automatic image output.

    Abstract: A polymer/nanoparticle composite hydrogel can be produced from an industrially readily available general-purpose material and has excellent mechanical and stretching properties. A hydrogel and a method for producing the same, the hydrogel having a self-supporting property and including a silicate salt (A), a polyalkylene glycol (B), and a dispersant (C) for the silicate salt, the hydrogel being characterized in that: the polyalkylene glycol (B) has a weight average molecular weight, number average molecular weight, or viscosity average molecular weight of 500,000 to 20,000,000; and the amount by mass of the polyalkylene glycol (B) is more than 2% by mass and 20% by mass or less relative to 100% by mass of the hydrogel.
