  • Patent number: 12145560
Abstract: A dissymmetric braking system has at least one right wheel braking device, at least one left wheel braking device, at least one device to apply a braking action, at least one actuating device to transform the braking action into a first pressure, at least one right wheel connection, at least one left wheel connection, and at least one pressure reducing device having at least one transfer device receiving the first pressure. The transfer device transforms the first pressure into a reduced second pressure, whereby avoiding, during the braking action, a fluidic connection between a fluid having the first pressure and a fluid having the second pressure to determine, during the braking action, a relationship between the first pressure and the second pressure with linear trend without variation of linearity throughout the operating field of the pressure reducing device, so that the braking action of one of the right wheel braking device and left wheel braking device is lower than the other.

  • Patent number: 10145432
Abstract: A disc brake caliper having a caliper body, a disc brake pad with a support plate supporting a friction material, and a pad retracting device. The pad retracting device includes a guide pin which projects from the caliper body and is received in an opening in the support plate, a first carriage portion facing the caliper body, and a second carriage portion facing the friction material and/or said braking disc. A carriage guide is coupled with a predetermined interference between the carriage and the guide pin, allowing the carriage to slide with respect to the guide pin when the predetermined interference is exceeded. An elastic device is arranged between the second carriage portion and the support plate, which forces the support plate to move away from the second carriage portion, which remains integral to the guide pin, and thus from the braking disc by a predetermined extent.

  • Patent number: 7097006
Abstract: A braking band for a disc-brake disc includes opposed annular braking surfaces which extend from an inner edge facing towards the axis of rotation to an outer edge facing towards the outside of the disc. The braking band has a uniform distribution of grooves having a pattern or module that is repeated circumferentially in a manner such that the distribution is circumferentially uniform. According to an example embodiment, each of the grooves is closed and extends along a predominant line of extent defining an axis. The module extends from an inner radius to an outer radius which define an annular portion. The module further includes a first groove extending from the inner radius to the outer radius, a second groove, and a third groove that are shorter than the first groove. The axes of the second groove and of the third groove have an opposite inclination to the axis of the first groove.
