  • Publication number: 20230007607
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for S-SSB transmission are provided. In an aspect, an S-SSS symbol is followed by a gap symbol. In another aspect, a first PSBCH symbol is followed by an S-SSS symbol. In a further aspect, the same MPR is used for the entire S-SSB, thus reducing/mitigating transient periods. For example, the S-SSS symbols in the S-SSB may be selected from a set of sequences having the same MPR as the S-PSS symbols. Alternatively, the MPR of the entire S-SSB may be selected based on a sequence ID of an S-SSS. In an aspect, additional symbols may be configured in the S-SSB to compensate for power reduction.

  • Patent number: 11546097
Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The apparatus may receive from a second device a first data packet in one or more receiving slots of a time division duplex frame that includes a plurality of slots. The apparatus may determine whether the first data packet is received incorrectly. The apparatus may wait until the end of the one or more receiving slots and may transmit to the second device a first NACK in a NACK feedback symbol in a configured slot after the end of the one or more receiving slots in response to determining that the first data packet was not received correctly.

  • Publication number: 20220416984
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may utilize priority levels associated with packets or transmissions to determine whether to transmit feedback for a received transmission. The UE may compare priority levels between a transmission subject to a feedback condition and a transmission scheduled to be received when the feedback is scheduled to be transmitted to determine whether to send the feedback. The UE may communicate with the transmitting device according to the comparison and the determining. The UE may determine signal conditions causing a NAK and determine to send the NAK based on the signal conditions.

  • Patent number: 11510207
Abstract: A device may determine a set of parameters related to a transmission of a packet. For example, a device may determine a transmission range indication for the packet, a Quality-of-Service (QoS) of the packet, or a combination thereof. The device may then determine a resource exclusion parameter related to the transmission of the packet based in part on the set of parameters. Following the determination, the device may transmit, to one or more other devices in a wireless communications system, control signaling including the resource exclusion parameter.

  • Patent number: 11509415
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to mechanisms for code block segmentation in a wireless communication network (e.g., a sidelink network). In some examples, a wireless communication device may reserve resources across two or more slots on a carrier for transmission of a transport block. The wireless communication device may then select code block parameters for segmenting the transport block into a plurality of encoded code blocks such that each encoded code bock is fully contained within a single slot. In some examples, the code block parameters may include a number of encoded code blocks and a respective size of each of the encoded code blocks.

  • Patent number: 11503616
Abstract: Aspects relate to limiting the number of missed reservations by a wireless communication device, such as a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) device. The wireless communication device may calculate a missed reservation metric associated with one or more missed reservations missed by the wireless communication device. • Patent number: 11503589
Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus may be a first UE in a bundled TTI comprising a first TTI and a second TTI. The first UE is configured to receive a first data transmission and a first reference signal from a second UE in the first TTI, to transmit a SRS to the second UE, and to receive a second data transmission having one or more transmission parameters adapted based on the SRS in the second TTI. In certain aspects, the first UE is configured to transmit a first data transmission and a first reference signal to a second UE in the first TTI, to receive a SRS from the second UE, to adapt one or more transmission parameters for a second data transmission in the second TTI based on the SRS, and to transmit the second data transmission to the second UE in the second TTI.

  • Publication number: 20220361192
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems (e.g., sidelink systems, such as vehicle-to-everything (V2X) systems), wireless devices may perform dynamic resource reservations to schedule packet transmissions (e.g., data packet transmissions). Different packets may correspond to different priority levels. To support flexible resource reservation for high priority packets, wireless devices may implement techniques for preempting lower priority reservations. For example, a wireless device may identify reservations for transmitting different packets during a same transmission time interval (TTI). The device may determine whether a first or second packet has a higher relative priority and may communicate in the V2X system during the TTI according to the relative priorities.

  • Publication number: 20220345946
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device may determine a packet for transmission and determine whether to transmit a reservation signal prior to the transmission of the packet based in part on a condition. The condition may include, but is not limited to, a packet size, or a packet priority, or a combination thereof. According to the determination, the device may refrain from transmitting the reservation signal or allocate resources for the reservation signal from a same resource pool associated with the transmission of the packet or a dedicated resource pool according to a pre-reservation resource pattern.

  • Publication number: 20220322328
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to methods for wireless communication. A transmitting device transmits a first portion of a control message to a receiving device. The first portion includes information for decoding a second portion of the control message and for decoding data. The transmitting device then transmits the second portion to the receiving device, the second portion including additional information for decoding the data. Thereafter, the first device transmits the data to the receiving device. The receiving device receives the first portion and the second portion, and decodes the received second portion based on the information included in the first portion. The receiving device then receives the data from the second device if the received second portion is able to be decoded. The receiving device decodes the received data based on the information included in the first portion and the additional information included in the second portion.

  • Publication number: 20220312459
Abstract: Improved configured grants (CGs) may include the designation of a footprint corresponding to uplink transmission of a UE, with the footprint at least partially defined by the occupied transmission time, occupied transmission frequency, and transmission power. The footprint may be adjustable and/or selectable by the UE according to the current traffic needs of the UE and within limits set for the footprint via prior signaling from the base station to the UE. The actual footprint parameters/values for the UE's uplink data transmissions may be received by the base station as part of CG uplink control information (CG-UCI) received from the UE. The base station may receive the CG-UCI over resources configured according to additional parameter values transmitted to the UE via the prior signaling from the base station. The base station may further receive uplink data on resources configured according to the actual footprint values.
