  • Patent number: 11941969
Abstract: Systems and methods for enabling a system to rapidly respond to wireless instructions being transmitted by a personal device over one of several communications networks that share a common RF medium are provided. During operation of the system, certain network communications may take priority over other network communications. Rapid response communications enable a user to communicate with the system, using the personal device, in a manner that does not collide or interfere with higher priority network communications.

  • Publication number: 20240051497
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for providing passive entry to a vehicle to a user with an authorized mobile device. Responsive to receiving, at a vehicle and from an application executing on a mobile device associated with a user, one or more signals associated with the mobile device, a signal strength and contextual information associated with the mobile device is determined based on the one or more signals. A passive entry feature of the vehicle is initiated based on the signal strength and the contextual information.

  • Publication number: 20230077868
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to deter an intruder from approaching and damaging a vehicle. With the use of a plurality of cameras, the system captures images of a surrounding environment of a vehicle. The system then detects a first motion-based event and, in response, stores images from at least one of the plurality of cameras. The system then detects a second motion-based event, and, in response, performs a first defensive action. Further, systems and methods are provided to capture images around the vehicle and automatically select an image associated with the insurance claim.

  • Publication number: 20230083504
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for processing an insurance claim using a target captured image. A motion-based event associated with a vehicle is detected. One or more images of the motion-based event are captured automatically using a vehicle sensor. The one or more images are stored in a data stored associated with the vehicle. A request for an insurance claim from a user is received. A user interface is presented that enables the user to select the one or more images stored in the data store for associating the images with the insurance claim. A selection is received of at least one target image of the one or more images. Processing of the insurance claim is facilitated along with the selected at least one target image for processing.

  • Publication number: 20230073566
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to upload data from a vehicle to a network server. Vehicle data associated with the vehicle is collected and a determination of whether the vehicle data has a higher prioritization level or a lower prioritization is made. When the vehicle data is data having the higher prioritization level, upload of the vehicle data to the network server is facilitated. When the vehicle data is data having the lower prioritization level and an emergency state of the vehicle is active, upload of the vehicle data to the network server is facilitated.

  • Patent number: 10337924
Abstract: Various arrangements for detecting an object using a passive infrared (PIR) sensor module of a sensor device. A PIR data stream may be received from the PIR sensor module indicative of measurements performed by the PIR sensor module. An indication may be received from a transceiver that identifies a beginning of the data transmission. A portion of the PIR data stream may be blanked in response to receiving the indication of the beginning of the data transmission, the portion of the PIR data stream corresponding to a defined time duration. A presence of an object may be determined using the PIR data stream, excluding the blanked portion.

  • Patent number: 10146319
Abstract: Systems and methods systems and methods for altering a state of system using a remote device that processes gestures are described herein. The electronic device can communicate with the system in response to monitoring a user generated gesture or other interaction. For example, a user can wave the personal device or wave to the personal device, and in response thereto, the personal device can transmit an instruction to the system that causes it to change its operational state. Thus, embodiments discussed herein enable a user to perform remote gestures with a first device to affect the operation of a second device.

  • Patent number: 10038648
Abstract: Method and apparatus for facilitating return to a first wireless network from a second wireless network by a wireless communication device is provided. A method includes the wireless communication device engaging in data transfer for an application session on the first wireless network; participating in a CSFB procedure to transition from the first wireless network to the second wireless network for servicing a voice connection; buffering data received for the application session before and/or during the CSFB procedure; releasing the voice connection; discontinuing requests for downlink data for the application session in response to termination of the voice connection to provide a gap in data transfer; reselecting to the first wireless network during the gap in data transfer; using the buffered data to continue the application session during reselection; and resuming data transfer for the application session on the first wireless network after completing reselection.

  • Patent number: 9411396
Abstract: Adaptive data collection practices in a multi-processor device. The device may include a first processor and a second processor. The first processor may operate in any of a plurality of power states. The first processor may indicate to the second processor when it transitions to a different power state. The second processor may collect information relating to its operation. The second processor may collect the information according to different information collecting modes depending on in which power state the first processor is operating. Less information may be collected in an information collecting mode corresponding to a lower power state of the first processor than in an information collecting mode corresponding to a higher power state of the first processor.
