  • Patent number: 11943799
Abstract: Method, comprising determining sizes of first and second data received at PCell for transmission to UE and of secondary parts of the first and second data transmitted from PCell to SCell for transmission to UE; deciding first and second initial times of the transmission of the respective data; deciding first and second primary final times indicating an end of transmission of the respective primary parts; monitoring an indication of a throughput of SCell; obtaining a transmission delay from PCell to SCell; estimating first and second secondary final times based on transmission delay, size of the respective secondary part, and the throughput; identifying first and second latest final times among the respective primary and secondary final times; calculating first and second throughputs of the transmission of the respective data based on the size of the respective data and a respective duration between the respective initial time and latest final time.

  • Patent number: 11134420
Abstract: An arrangement for prolonging voice service in an active state by forcing a double user equipment context situation. This is achieved by delaying the user equipment context release message from the source cell to the core network. When the user equipment context release message is delayed the connection with a target cell can be established before the voice service is dropped and the user does not need to redial.

  • Patent number: 10356680
Abstract: An apparatus comprising at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code are configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to receive an initial user equipment message from a target cell, transmit an initial context setup request message to the target cell including one or more service indicators, receive an initial context setup response message from the target cell, and calculate a drop ratio associated with a double S1 connection based upon a number of abnormal radio access bearer releases subtracted from a number of radio access bearer releases associated with the successful double S1 connection divided by a total number of radio access bearer releases. The one or more service indicators are determined based upon the received initial user equipment message.

  • Publication number: 20190190967
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for time aggregation. In some example embodiments, there may be provided a method that includes sending, by a user equipment, a request for data to be provided by the network by at least aggregating over time a download of the requested data to a group including at least one other user equipment; receiving, by the user equipment, a first portion of the requested data from the network; and receiving, by the user equipment, at least a second portion of the requested data from the group including the at least one other user equipment, when the user equipment and the group are at a location enabling transfer from the group to the user equipment via a lower-power radio technology. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also described.
