  • Publication number: 20210030271
Abstract: The device of the invention that consists of a gonioscopic lens and gonioscopic lens support for supporting the lens during an ophthalmic procedure. The lens is a cylindrical body with tilted end faces on both end sides. The lens support is a part, which is placed on the patient's eye, while the other side supports the gonioscopic lens. The eye support can be made in different modifications but in any case has a cavity capable of accommodating the eye cornea. The device has two optical lenses. The first lens is a convex lens formed on or attached to the proximal end face of the gonioscopic lens. The second lens is located at the distal end of the gonioscopic lens and may constitute either a concave lens formed on the gonioscopic lens eye support or a concave curvilinear surface of the cavity on the distal end of the gonioscopic lens.

  • Patent number: 10327634
Abstract: Proposed is an ophthalmic lens doublet for indirect ophthalmoscopy. The doublet is cemented into an integral unit from two lens elements, of which is a convex-convex lens element and another is a convex-concave lens element. Both lens elements have external and internal surfaces and may be combined so that the ophthalmic lens doublet has asphericity either on one side or on both sides of the unit. The aspheric surface is characterized by asphericity Z of the following formula (1) Z=Y2/{R+[R2?(1+k)Y2]1/2}??(1), where Z is in one of coordinates in a Cartesian coordinate system, Y is a second coordinate in the Cartesian coordinate system, R and k being variable parameters which are different for each selected values of d, where d is an outer diameter of the ophthalmic lens doublet.

  • Publication number: 20180344156
Abstract: Provided is an ophthalmic observation/illumination set for adjusting illumination conditions and a working distance to the object of observation and illumination. set consists of a main optical lens and a couple of interchangeable illumination members that can be assembled in various combinations with the main optical lens so that a light emitted from one of the illumination members will intersect the optical element of the main optical lens or will pass to the object around the optical element of the main optical lens. The set also contains a common handle with batteries for supply of power to the illumination member connected to the main optical lens and an additional optical component such as a Barlow lens selected from a set of Barlow lenses of different curvatures or a fisheye lens.

  • Publication number: 20120312349
Abstract: A stationary concentrated photovoltaic solar power module that is free of a tracking device and comprises a single optical lens and a plurality of photovoltaic solar cells spatially arranged on the track of a light spot produced on the photovoltaic solar cells by projection of the sun through the single optical lens unit. The cells are supported by the inner surface of the housing in the positions on the track of the light spot.

  • Patent number: 8011504
Abstract: The device of the invention comprises a protective cover for an optical device such as a gonioscope, capsulatomy lens, wide-angle lens, or any other lens having an eye-contacting surface. The cover is made sterile and disposable for allowing multiple use of the protected optical device. The cover is made from a soft material biologically acceptable for contact with a human eye. According to one aspect, the gonioscope protective cover is used merely for physically protecting the eye-contacting surface from direct contact with the eye. According to another aspect, the gonioscope protective cover combines the protective function with an optical function that changes the direction of light so that it becomes possible to observe the light emitted from the pupil at angles that are close to the angle of full internal reflection from the pupil medium.

  • Patent number: 7125119
Abstract: The invention provides a universal gonioscope-contact lens system suitable for diagnostics and intraocular laser surgery. The device consists of a hollow gonioscope body with a plurality of mirrors on the inner walls of the body and a contact lens. The front part of the lens is intended for contact with the eye cornea, while the rear part of the lens has a tapered shape with flat portions arranged perpendicular to the beams reflected from the gonioscope mirrors. The tapered portion of the lens can be conveniently used for manipulating the lens and for arranging optical lens components such as a concave lens and convex lens.

  • Publication number: 20060050229
Abstract: A universal gonioscope-contact lens system suitable for both diagnostics and/or intraocular laser surgery that consists of a conical gonioscope body with a plurality of mirrors on the inner side of the body and a contact lens that consists of a contact lens portion intended for contact with the patient's eye cornea and a rear main optical portion that may have any arbitrary shape, provided that it has beveled flat surfaces arranged perpendicular to the beams reflected from the gonioscope mirrors. The aforementioned rear main optical portion can be conveniently used for manipulating the contact lens and for arranging optical lens components such as a concave lens and convex lens. The convex lens component may be used for focusing a laser beam, while the flat areas and the concave lens can be used respectively for delivery and diverging of the illumination light. The contact lens portion can be made from a material softer than the main optical portion.

  • Patent number: 6942343
Abstract: The gonioscope of the invention comprises a hollow tapered body with mirror surfaces formed on the inner side of the gonioscope or on the inserts placed into the recesses on the inner surface of the gonioscope. Several reflecting surfaces arranged at the same or different angles can be used. The device can be made disposable and molded with reflecting surface coatings applied onto the inner flats. According to one of the embodiments, the gonioscope can be used in combination with a meniscus lens that can applied onto the eye cornea and used as a support for sliding the front end of the gonioscope over the lens surface for orientation thereof at different angles to the optical axis of the eye.
