    Abstract: The disclosure relates converting an analog input signal to a digital output signal in a number of successive approximation cycles. A sampled analog input signal is received, and a decision node is loaded from a decision tree stored in memory, where each decision node in the decision tree stores an optimal threshold value and an address to one or more next decision nodes. The optimal threshold value, a first output flag and a second output flag associated with a currently loaded decision node is read from the decision tree in the memory, and the sampled first analog input signal is compared with the optimal threshold value and, based on a result of the comparison, a next decision node is loaded from the decision tree stored in memory according to the address associated with the currently loaded decision node or the digital output signal is output.

    Abstract: A method, system, and computer-readable medium are provided for calibrating elements of a MIMO array. The method includes the steps of receiving samples of a signal from a plurality of antenna units included in the MIMO array, generating an antenna domain channel estimate based on the samples of the signal received from each antenna unit, estimating a set of spatial parameters based on the antenna domain channel estimate, generating a reconstructed channel based on the estimated set of spatial parameters, comparing the antenna domain channel estimate and the reconstructed channel to determine errors associated with a set of mismatch parameters for each antenna unit, and adjusting the set of mismatch parameters based on the errors. Each antenna unit in the plurality of antenna units is configured to sample the signal based on a clock corresponding with the antenna unit.

    Abstract: A method and system for decoding control data in GSM-based systems using inherent redundancy and physical constraints are presented. At least one estimated GSM-based bit sequence may be selected by performing searches that start from trellis junctions determined by the decoding algorithm. The estimated bit sequences may be selected based on corresponding redundancy verification parameters. At least one physical constraint test may be performed on the selected estimated GSM-based bit sequences to select a decoded output GSM-based bit sequence. A multilayer decoding process may comprise a burst process and a frame process. Results from a first burst process may be utilized to generate a decoded GSM bit sequence in the frame process. The frame process may utilize redundancy information and physical constraints to improve the performance of a decoding algorithm.
