  • Patent number: 9416781
Abstract: A gear pump includes a plurality of gear wheels rotatably retained in a pump housing and that engage in one another for the conveyance of a medium. One of the gear wheels is driven by a pump shaft, which can be coupled to a drive by means of a coupling end. To maintain a uniform conveyance flow, in particular with strongly fluctuating operational pressures, during alternating load states, within a single rotation, a brake ring is disposed on the circumference of the pump shaft, which acts with at least one brake surface on a friction surface of the pump shaft or on a friction surface of the pump housing.

  • Publication number: 20100196186
Abstract: The invention relates to a gear pump having two meshing gear wheels configured of a driven gear wheel and a gear wheel moving along with the same. A rotatably supported drive shaft is provided for driving the gear wheel, the shaft being held in the pump housing by bearing means. A sealing means is associated with the drive shaft at the circumference between the gear wheel and the bearing means, the sealing means comprising a pressure ring resting against a face of the gear wheel. In order to prevent the gear wheel in the pump housing from starting to run, a second sealing means having a second pressure ring is disposed on the opposite face of the gear wheel at the circumference of the drive shaft between a second bearing means and the gear wheel, wherein both pressure rings have a sealing shoulder opposite the gear wheel, the shoulder being pressed against the face of the gear wheel under the action of a spring means.

  • Patent number: 7495575
Abstract: A gear pump for the dosed conveyance of pigmented lacquers or paints and which is adapted for use with a painting robot. The gear pump comprises two toothed wheels meshing with one another and which are mounted within a pump housing in such a manner that they can be rotated by a driven drive shaft and a fixed bearing shaft. For this, the drive shaft is mounted by a bearing section at multiple points in a pump housing and a coupling section of the drive shaft projects out of the pump drive to connect to a drive. In order, on the one hand, to avoid wear due to high pressure forces and, on the other hand, to absorb a pronounced load from the outside, a supporting bearing for the radial and axial support of the drive shaft is formed on the drive shaft's coupling section projecting outside of the pump housing.
