Abstract: A shoe and an apparatus for a shoe to inhibit undesired movement of a foot in the shoe, the shoe in certain aspects having a shoe member with a bottom and a shoe body into which a foot is insertable, the foot at the end of a leg of a wearer of the shoe, the shoe body having a front part, a rear part, and an interior; an apparatus releasably connected to the shoe body, the apparatus for inhibiting undesired movement of the foot; a cuff positionable on the leg; a first strap with a first end and a second end, the first end connected to the cuff and the second end connected to the front part of the shoe body; a second strap with a first end connected to the cuff and a second end connected to the interior of the shoe body; and at least one side strut, the at least one side strut with a first end connected to the cuff and second end connected to the rear part of the shoe body.
