  • Patent number: 8973925
Abstract: A folding wheelchair is easily convertible between a folding wheelchair of a first type and a folding wheelchair of a second type through the use of conversion components, some of which are mounted permanently to the wheelchair and some of which are received by the mounted conversion components. In one form, the first type is a folding beach wheelchair while the second type is a folding all-terrain or trail wheelchair. Conversion is achieved through changeable front and back wheels. For instance, the folding beach wheelchair includes right and left rear wheels having oversized, low pressure tires. Right and left front brackets are mounted to the existing frame and are configured to receive right and left wheel assemblies, having smaller, low pressure tires mounted for pivoting movement. The folding all-terrain wheels have solid, high pressure or the like tires.

  • Patent number: 4756127
Abstract: A universal framing system is disclosed adapted for use with glazing having substantially any thickness within a wide range of thicknesses. The system comprises an elongate eave member having a top wall, a first flange depending from the top wall and extending longitudinally of the eave member generally adjacent the front of the eave member, and a second flange depending from the top wall and extending longitudinally of the eave member generally parallel to the first flange. The second flange is spaced rearwardly from the first flange whereby the upper edge margin of a sheet of wall glazing may be inserted upwardly between the flanges, the spacing between the flanges being sufficient to accommodate a sheet having substantially any thickness within said range of thickness. A holder on the first flange is provided for holding a first flexible sealing member in position for sealing engagement with the front face of said sheet.

  • Patent number: 3942763
Abstract: An adjustable type connector menas for a wrought iron railing section having top and bottom rail elements of inverted, generally U-shaped cross-sectional construction includes a pair of plate-like members adapted to be assembled to an end of one of the rail elements in opposed, paralleling relation with one another, with a first of the members disposed within the rail element above and in seated relation with a pair of opposed, inwardly extending right-angle abutment means formed integrally in the sides of the rail element and with the second of the members disposed along the underside of the rail element in engaged, bridging relation with the extremities of the sides of said rail element. The plate members are adapted to be operatively coupled with one another to retain the rail element in compression therebetween through means of a mounting bolt fitting through an aperture in the second of the members to within a suitably tapped aperture in the first of the members.
