  • Patent number: 6878222
Abstract: An apparatus is capable of simultaneously stamping indicia on each of a plurality of packages positioned within a larger container. The apparatus is programmable to process packages and containers of different sizes by adjusting the position of a transport conveyor with respect to the operable elements of the apparatus. The apparatus can include a loading station, an opening station, a stamping station, a closing station, and an unloading station. A programmable control system is provided for responding to one or more sensors in accordance to a control program stored in memory. The one or more sensors can include sensors to determine if a container is present at one or more locations, and one or more temperature sensors.

  • Patent number: 6682778
Abstract: An apparatus and method is disclosed for applying a coating of material to a predefined area on a surface of a part. A movable stencil is provided having a wall or surface with a predefined aperture corresponding to a pattern of the defined area to be coated. A wiper, such as a doctor blade or squeegee, is provided for filling the aperture with the coating of material to be applied to the part. A pad, preferably of silicon rubber, is provided for receiving the coating of material as the coating material passes through the aperture of the stencil and for applying the coating of material to the part in response to relative movement between the part and the pad.

  • Patent number: 5637177
Abstract: An apparatus for laminating a plurality of components to one another in an assembly includes a table having an upper surface for successively stacking a plurality of components in registered, aligned, superimposed relation to one another to enable the components to be joined to one another. The upper surface of the table has a plurality of apertures formed therein. A source of vacuum is selectively connectible to the plurality of apertures formed in the upper surface of the table for holding at least one component in place when positioned thereon for lamination, two spaced apart, parallel, linear guide rails are connected to the table. An elongated roller has opposite ends connected to the rails for sliding, guided movement along the rails as the roller rollingly engages the upper surface of the table. A drive mechanisms is connected to the roller for reciprocating the roller along a path defined by the rails.

  • Patent number: 5553536
Abstract: A screen printing apparatus transfers an image onto a substrate. A feed mechanism is provided for moving the substrate along a fixed linear path. Vacuum is provided through the feed mechanism for holding the substrate in at least one position along the fixed linear path. A printing head transfers the image onto the substrate while the substrate is held in a first position by the vacuum. A curing station is provided for fixing the image transferred to the substrate while it is passing through the curing station, or while it is being held in a second position by the vacuum applied through the feed mechanism.
