    Abstract: A transfer aid for assisting people with restricted mobility to rise from a seated position into a standing position. It is a lightweight, portable device having a portion for the user to grasp positioned directly in front of the user. Two supports are each located on either side of the portion to be grasped, and are each rotatable with respect to this portion. This adds flexibility to the device and permits it to be used in a plurality of situations. The transfer aid is easily transported by tilting it so that it rests upon wheels, or tilting it so that it rests upon plastic caps.
