  • Patent number: 4606893
Abstract: A dispenser for soluble pool chemicals is provided having a child-resistant rotatably openable top utilizing an angled detent and a deformable stop to resist rotation until a threshold amount of rotative force is applied, the top being adjustably openable to control the amount of pool chemicals dispensed via dispensing openings in a ballast disk that is fixed in place by the interlocking of interlocking recesses with locking tabs on the neck of the dispenser container to permit the top with its dispensing openings to rotate relative to the disk to uncover the dispensing openings in the disk to the desired amount.

  • Patent number: 4208376
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing and dissolving soluble water treatment materials is disclosed. The apparatus has an inlet, an outlet and a housing divided by a wall into an outlet chamber in fluid communication with the outlet and a dissolving chamber in communication with the inlet. A vertically adjustable control tube device for controlling the level of water in the dissolving chamber and an outlet valve device for maintaining the water level in the outlet chamber above the outlet are provided. A support device is provided to hold a plurality of cartridges with their lower ends immersed in the water in the dissolving chamber. A high water level malfunction shut-off valve with or without an indicator can be provided and the inlet flow can be controlled by perpendicular passageways with a rotary valve therebetween. The inlet may be in a wall of the outlet chamber and be isolated from the outlet chamber by an inlet valve mechanism leading to the dissolving chamber.

  • Patent number: 4032035
Abstract: A container cover is provided which prevents young children from gaining access to the container's contents. The container has an opening at one end and a latch lip adjacent to the opening. The cover comprises a plate having at least one opening and a handle secured to the plate and having at least two grips, a releasing grip and a non-releasing grip. Two latching means secure the plate to the latch lip, one of the latching means is attached to the releasing grip and passes through the plate opening. The releasing grip has means for releasing the latching means such as lifting, sliding or rotating. The container may be used for containers for materials which may be harmful if handled or ingested.A particular application of the cover is on a magazine for soluble solids to be dissolved by a liquid, for example, in treating swimming pool water. The magazine is a component of an apparatus for dissolving and dispensing soluble material including a container having an upper and a lower chamber.

  • Patent number: 4030826
Abstract: An apparatus for exposing flexible contact originals or negatives to flexible sensitized reproduction media consisting of a rotatable transparent or translucent cylinder, a fluorescent tube located axially therein, a flexible cover member attached thereto at one end with the other end being free and unsupported for manual pulling action, and spring biased return mechanism for drawing the cover member about the periphery of the cylinder. The apparatus has a manually controlled braking system which normally prevents rotation of the cylinder and is manually released by the operator of the apparatus to permit the spring biased return to draw the cover member about the cylinder.
