  • Patent number: 9539312
Abstract: The present invention provides a novel vaccine compound of micellar nanoparticles to be administered intranasally to treat and/or prevent the disease called atherosclerosis, which results from an abnormal metabolism of circulating lipids. The novelty of the vaccine compound of the present invention is the use of Archaebacterian lipids, lysophosphatidylcholine, and phosphatidylcholine, which give nanoparticles stability and facilitates antigen presentation in its appropriate secondary peptidic conformation. A novel process for the preparation of vaccine compounds which allows obtaining homogeneous nanoparticles with high stability is also presented in this invention.

  • Publication number: 20160220895
Abstract: A football table game includes a game table having a football field playing surface, receiver icons spaced from one another over the playing surface, a first set of coin chips used by a team on offense for attempting passes, a second set of coin chips used by a team on defense to defend against the pass, a first die used by the team on offense for attempting a running play, and a second die used by the team on defense for defending against the running play. The table game includes goal posts erected in the end zones and miniature footballs that are flicked through the goal posts during field goal and extra point attempts. The first team to score more than 21 points wins the game.

  • Publication number: 20070099304
Abstract: The present invention describes a method that combines the blocking of primary amino groups and the cation exchange chromatography, to simplify peptide mixtures that can be generated or not by proteolytic or chemical treatments. This method allows the selective isolation of an average of 4 multiply-charged peptides (RH peptides) per protein and the study of 90% of the proteins of the analyzed proteomes. It is applicable to studies of quantitative proteomics without the usage of two-dimensional electrophorsis, it is compatible with any type of isotopic labeling and it is very useful to determine the differential expression of proteins present in multiple conditions (3 to 6 conditions) when using different isotopic labeling in a single experiment. The chromatographic system used also allows the fractionation fraction of the RH peptides to achieve the identification of a greater number of proteins.

  • Publication number: 20060014016
Abstract: The yarns of the present invention satisfy the need for a multi-purpose yarn, capable of improved abrasion resistance, seam slippage and dimensional stability while eliminating traditional fabric's backing materials and costs associated with the production thereof. In one aspect, the method of producing yarn and fabrics comprises supplying a first yarn, supplying a low melt yarn, placing the two yarns adjacent to one another, and winding the two adjacent yarns. In another aspect, the method of producing yarns and fabrics further comprises weaving the yarns into a fabric and heating the fabric, wherein heating the fabric heats the low melt yarn, melting at least one filament and adhering the low melt yarn to the first yarn or fabric.

  • Publication number: 20050176085
Abstract: The present invention describes a method of selective peptide isolation for the identification and quantitative analysis of proteins in complex mixture. The method comprises the selective isolation from every protein of those peptides that neither contain arginine nor histidine (NHNR peptides), and the determination of the relative concentrations of one or several proteins in different samples from the ratio between the areas of the estimated theoretical spectra for the NHNR peptides labeled with different isotopes in each sample. The determination of the relative concentration of proteins is valid for any type of isotopic label of the NHNR peptides. The method avoids the separation and purification of the proteins present in a complex mixture, and the analysis of all peptides generated from the enzymatic digest of the samples. The method is applicable to the identification of proteins with vacunal, therapeutic and diagnostic aims.
