  • Publication number: 20100048089
Abstract: Described is a collectible marble set where the marble enhancements are tied to a media. The collectible marble set includes a plurality of marbles, the plurality of marbles having at least a first set of marbles and a second set of marbles. Each of the marbles have an insert therein, wherein the first set of marbles has an insert with a first color and the second set of marbles has an insert with a second color. The plurality of marbles are formed to be tied to a media having a first character set and a second character set, such that the first color represents the first character set and the second color represents the second character set.

  • Patent number: 6669526
Abstract: A plurality of connecting bodies are formed in various shapes of a resilient material such as molded plastic or other resilient material. The connecting bodies each define a plurality of inwardly extending slots which form receiving mechanisms for the edge portions of a plurality of cooperating generally planar plate members. The plate members are assembled to form more complex structures utilizing the connecting bodies to form interconnection therebetween. In alternate embodiments, a complex structure for the inwardly extending slots includes flexible ribs on each side of the slots together with relief slots adjacent the ribs. In further alternate embodiments, the connecting bodies and plate members may be assembled to form complex fanciful figures utilizing specialized elements such as a fanciful head member which bears a fanciful face and leg elements.

  • Publication number: 20030186616
Abstract: An imagination-rendering, organic design construction kit for a child permitting the recurrent, selective assembly and disassembly of imaginary scenes, situations, objects, creatures and personalities. Different ones of the assembly components provided in the kit of the invention are characterized variously by solid color, by translucency, by transparency and by surface ornamentation. Interconnect structures provided in the kit of the invention enables different assembly modalities, including interference interfitment, as well as tethering, banding, snaring, clinging, stitching and skewering.

  • Patent number: 5941755
Abstract: A toy producing a jumping or bouncing action includes an outer body depicting a fanciful animal and an interior support structure which includes an elongated body housing having a head portion and supporting a tail portion. A pair of leg units having a corresponding pair of supporting feet are slidable within the body housing and are joined by a transversely extending leg unit bridge. A gear drive unit includes an electric motor and a plurality of drive gears which rotate a gear segment. The gear segment engages a gear rack on the leg unit bridge and is operative when the motor is energized to drive the toy figure toward a squatting position as the leg units are drawn into the body housing. A spring is coupled between the leg unit bridge and the body housing and is stretched as the gear segment rotates lifting the gear rack. When the teeth of the gear segment move out of engagement with the gear rack, the spring produces a thrusting force upon the leg units causing the toy to bounce or jump.

  • Patent number: 5021929
Abstract: A battery powered flashlight includes a housing defining an interior cavity which supports an internal battery power source and flashlight bulb in operative communication with a movable switch also supported upon the housing. The housing further defines an opening and a generally parabolic reflector communicating the output light of the flashlight bulb to the housing opening. A simulated toy figure is joined to and appears to extend from the upper portion of the housing and supports a miniature replica of the flashlight. A curved light transmissive light pipe is coupled between the miniature light replica and the flashlight bulb in an optical coupling which permits a portion of the flashlight bulb output energy to be coupled through the light pipe and directed outwardly from the miniature flashlight to produce a secondary light beam. Movable colored filters are supported within the housing to permit coloration of the light beams.
