  • Publication number: 20180098407
Abstract: An integrated lighting system and integrated lighting network including integrated lighting systems are communicatively coupled to one another, for example, via various wireless transceivers. The systems and networks can collect data of a passing object (e.g., person, animal, automotive vehicle). The data can be transmitted over the systems and networks such that the intensity of light generated by light fixtures within the systems and networks can be adjusted to the activities of the particular object. In some cases, the data is distance data, gesture data, 2D image data, 3D image data and/or proximity data of the object.

  • Publication number: 20160366213
Abstract: In an example method, sensor data is received at a computer system from a sensor. The sensor data is processed by the computer system. The processed sensor data is larger in size than the sensor data. The processed sensor data is transmitted from the computer system to a first output device. The sensor data is received at the computer system from the sensor over a first communications link. The processed sensor data is transmitted from the computer system to the first output device over a second communications link. The first communications link has a lower throughput than the second communications link.

  • Publication number: 20160366065
Abstract: Synchronizing data delivery from a multitude of devices includes receiving, at a first one of the devices, a transmission containing data and delaying initiation of delivery of the received data from the first device to a module by am amount of time. After passage of the amount of time, delivery of the received data from the first device to the module is initiated. This can allow the first device to initiate delivery of the data to the module in synchronized fashion with other ones of the devices initiating delivery of the data to respective modules.

  • Patent number: 8866696
Abstract: An antenna assembly includes an antenna housing, an antenna located within the housing, a radio frequency (RF) module located within the housing and connected to the antenna, and a cable assembly operably associated with the module. The module includes a radio frequency device, such as a transmitter, receiver or transceiver, electrically connected to the antenna. The cable assembly includes electrical wires for providing external power to the module and conducting processed signals between the module and external circuitry. The proximal nature of the antenna and RF module reduces or eliminates induced power losses between the antenna and module, resulting in a very effective power transfer ratio. Resulting processed signals between external and internal processing circuitry can be conducted over relatively long lengths without appreciable signal loss.
