  • Publication number: 20100251749
Abstract: The invention relates to an air conditioning unit (1), in particular for a stand-alone operation in a motor vehicle, comprising a compressor, condenser (3) and evaporator (2) that are situated in a coolant circuit, for cooling the air to be conditioned. According to the invention, the unit is equipped with a single fan (5) for the air that dissipates the heat and for the cooled air that is to be fed to the interior of the vehicle, said fan transporting part of the air through the condenser (3) and the other part through the evaporator (2).

Inventors: Wilhelm Baruschke, Armin Britsch-Laudwein, Marion Britsch-Laudwein, Arthur Heberle
  • Patent number: 7788938
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for regulating a coolant circuit (2) of a vehicle air conditioning system (4). According to said method, a target value (SW(VT)) for an evaporator temperature (VT) is predetermined in a base control circuit. Said value is used to determine a control value (U) for controlling the evaporator temperature (VT) by means of an evaporator temperature regulator (16). Said control value is also fed to a ventilator fan controller (26).
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: September 7, 2010
Assignee: Behr GmbH & Co. KG
Inventors: Wilhelm Baruschke, Armin Britsch-Laudwein, Karl Lochmahr
  • Publication number: 20070271943
Abstract: The invention relates to an air-conditioning system (1), in particular a motor vehicle air-conditioning system (1) comprising a coolant circuit (2) provided with a coolant compressor (3) and a gas cooler (4), an internal heat exchanger (5), an expansion unit (7) and an evaporator (8) Said invention is characterised in that a device for turning back the coolant flow direction is provided for the heal pump operation and means for switching off the internal heat exchanger (5) when the flow direction is reversed is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20070261420
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling a coolant circuit (2) of an air conditioning system (4) for a vehicle. According to said method, a compressor (10) that is located in the coolant circuit (2) is controlled in accordance with an evaporator temperature controller (VR) and a load torque limitation function (22) that is integrated into said evaporator temperature controller (VR).

  • Patent number: 6679075
Abstract: Disclosed is a heating and/or air-conditioning system for a vehicle and a method for adjusting a recirculating air fraction of the inlet air delivered to a passenger compartment of a vehicle in order to avoid exceeding a predetermined limit value of at least one air parameter, in particular the carbon dioxide fraction and/or the humidity in the passenger compartment air. The method provides that one or more secondary parameters be obtained and analyzed for indirect determination of the air parameter, and that the recirculating air fraction be adjusted as a function of the analysis.

Date of Patent: January 20, 2004
    Assignee: Behr GmbH & Co.
