  • Patent number: 4691229
Abstract: Apparatus for checking or, respectively, correcting a color picture to be printed on a monitor, whereby reference colors stored for color checking by means of a coordinate acquisition means can be made visible in a reference color field at abitrary locations of the color picture.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 6, 1985
Date of Patent: September 1, 1987
Assignee: Dr. Ing. Rudolf Hell GmbH
    Inventors: Armin Colditz, Siegfried Klopsch
  • Patent number: 4206475
Abstract: A process of obtaining digital data for color components of a color image includes the steps of quantizing color-processor derived signals to obtain first and second raster signal scans, wherein each of the raster signal scans has a multiplicity of raster spots spaced apart from one another at first and second predetermined distances. The first and second distances of the first raster signal scan correspond substantially to the second and first distances of the second raster signal scan, respectively. Only the raster signal scans corresponding to the color-processor obtained signals in the first and second memory segments, respectively, are stored.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 14, 1977
Date of Patent: June 3, 1980
    Assignee: Dr.-Ing. Rudolf Hell GmbH
    Inventors: Heinz Taudt, Armin Colditz
  • Patent number: 4127870
Abstract: Apparatus and method for changing the picture point resolution of color separations of continuous tone pictures in multicolor printing processes during transition from the scanning to reproduction in which the original picture is scanned and color separations are obtained from such scanning in the form of electronically stored digital recorded signals of particular raster points of a fine raster and are then converted into a printing raster wherein a raster system is used for printing which has different compression and extension of the distances of the printed raster points in the scan direction and in the direction at right angles to the scan direction, wherein the distances of the raster points in scan direction and the distances of the raster points at right angles to the scan direction have a ratio of integer numbers and wherein the fine raster is selected such that its raster line interval comprises a multiple of a common divisor of the length resulting from the projection of the printing raster on a li
