    Abstract: A fast military surface craft, particularly a frigate or a corvette, includes at least two electric rudder propeller drives, whereby the electric ruder propeller drive is placed at a cruising speed. The electric energy for the rudder propeller of the electric rudder propeller drives is generated by way of fuel cell units distributed in a de-centralized manner in the ship. At least two, preferably electric, hydrojets are provided with underwater hydrojet exit nozzles to enable the craft to travel at high speeds, whereby the electric energy of the hydrojets is produced, by generators.
