  • Patent number: 8944772
Abstract: A replacement part for a gas turbine blade is disclosed. The replacement part is designed to replace a removed portion of the blade, the portion including a section of the blade tip and a section of the leading edge and/or the trailing edge, and the replacement part having at least one joining side with which it can be brought to contact with the blade that is reduced by the removed portion and joined therewith. The joining side has at least one section, the cross-section of which is U-shaped.

  • Publication number: 20090184153
Abstract: A method of producing a welded joint between components of a turbomachine is described, in particular for the repair of components, wherein components are welded to one another along common edges in such a way that a pocket-like recess is incorporated in a first component, in particular in a replacement part, with which recess the first component is slipped onto a second component, in particular a component to be repaired, such that the second component bears with an end edge on a base of the pocket-like recess, and that the first component and the second component are then welded to one another. According to the invention, at least one cutout is incorporated in the first component in addition to the pocket-like recess in order to minimize heat transfer and the formation of component deformations during the subsequent welding of the components.

  • Patent number: 6892930
Abstract: A process for reconditioning worn or out-of-spec components, in particular titanium components and components which in partial areas are designed to receive further components in a positively locking and dimensionally accurate manner, e.g., as grooves, for which purpose the relevant partial areas are machined until a predetermined dimension is reached, spare parts which correspond to the machined partial areas and have the same geometry minus a predetermined soldering gap are produced from a material which is of the same type as the material of the component, and a soldering medium is introduced between machined walls of the partial area and spare part, which are fixedly joined to the component by a soldering process, after which, if necessary, the partial area(s) in question is/are dimensionally accurately machined.
