  • Publication number: 20150233156
Abstract: The subject matter of the present invention is a motor vehicle door lock, the basic construction of which is equipped with a locking mechanism (1, 2) consisting essentially of a rotary latch (1) and a detent pawl (2), furthermore with a release element (3) for the locking mechanism (1, 2) and with a storage element (4). The storage element (4) ensures an unobstructed opening movement of the rotary latch (1) from a closed 1.0 position into an open position. According to the invention, for this purpose, the storage element (4) holds the release element (3) during the opening movement of the rotary latch (1) in an ineffective position with respect to the locking mechanism (1, 2).

  • Publication number: 20150137529
Abstract: The invention relates to a lock for a door or flap, comprising a locking mechanism that consists of a rotary latch (1) and at least one pawl (2) for locking the rotary latch (1), the rotary latch (1) when in the detent position preferably initiating an opening moment in the pawl (2). The design of the rotary latch (1) is such that said latch is deformed under excessive stress in the locked state in such a way that an engagement between the pawl (2) and the rotary latch (1) is maintained or increases. A lock of this type will not open even under excessive stress.

  • Publication number: 20150115626
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to design a door lock or flap lock which can be easily and reliably opened with little effort. Said aim is achieved by a door lock or flap lock comprising a locking mechanism that consists of a rotary latch and at least one pawl for locking the rotary latch, the design of the rotary latch and the pawl being such that the rotary latch can initiate a torque in the pawl, in particular an opening moment. The torque is dependent on the detent position of the pawl.

  • Publication number: 20150115627
Abstract: The invention relates to a door lock or flap lock comprising a locking mechanism that consists of a latch (1) and at least one pawl (2) for locking the latch (1). The locking surface of the pawl is so narrow that even slight pivoting movements are sufficient to unlock a locked locking mechanism, thus allowing for a reduction in volume and weight.

  • Publication number: 20150084351
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to design a door lock or flap lock which can be easily and reliably opened with little effort. Said aim is achieved by a door lock or flap lock comprising a locking mechanism that consists of a latch and at least one pawl for locking the latch. The lock further comprises a triggering lever which, upon being actuated, allows the locked locking mechanism to be unlocked. The lock also comprises a spring for moving the pawl in the direction of the locking position. The triggering lever is designed in such a way that the actuation thereof at least reduces, preferably altogether cancels the spring force acting on the pawl, i.e., when the triggering lever is actuated, the spring force that presses the pawl in the direction of the locking position decreases at least. Since such a force makes it difficult to unlock a locking mechanism, actuating the triggering lever at least reduces or altogether does away with said difficulty when the spring force is canceled entirely.

  • Publication number: 20140361555
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock, comprising a lock housing (1) and at least one lever (2) that is arranged in the lock (1) and projects through an opening (4) at least partially out of the lock (1), wherein the lever (2) is formed as a pivot lever (2) which is movable along the opening (4) and mounted in the interior and/or on the lock housing (1) and the opening (4) is equipped with at least one seal (6) that, for the most part, closes an opening gap (5).

  • Publication number: 20130199103
Abstract: A procedure for the application of a seal (3) onto a surface of a device housing (1,2) for a motor vehicle, especially a motor vehicle door lock housing surface, comprising the following procedural steps: the surface is at least partially cleaned and/or micro structured by a heat source (4) restricted in area; and a sealant is applied to areas of the surface treated in such a way.

  • Publication number: 20130127246
Abstract: A motor vehicle door latch mechanism, comprising a circuit arrangement with at least one sensor (9, 10, 11, 12) and with at least one connected control unit (6, 7), wherein the sensor (9, 10, 11, 12) has two or more switch states, and wherein two different control units (6, 7) are connected to the sensor (9, 10, 11, 12).

  • Patent number: 5961163
Abstract: A motor-vehicle door latch has a latching fork and a release pawl engageable with the fork and pivotal between a latched position retaining the fork in a latched position engaged around a bolt and an unlatched position in which the fork can release the bolt. A coupling lever is pivotal between a coupling position connecting an actuating lever to the release pawl for actuation of the release pawl by the actuating lever and a decoupling position in which movement of the actuating lever does not move the release pawl. An inside locking lever pivotal between a locked and unlocked position is connected by a coupling to a central-locking lever also pivotal for joint synchronous pivoting thereof. A spring engaged between the locking lever and the coupling lever normally moves the coupling lever into its decoupling position on movement of the locking lever into its locked position.

  • Patent number: 5634677
Abstract: A motor-vehicle door latch has a housing, a lock fork on the housing engageable with a door bolt, and a release pawl engageable with the fork. An actuating mechanism is connected to the release pawl via a coupling part displaceable on the housing so that in a decoupling position of the part actuation of the actuating mechanism does not affect the release pawl. A central locking element is displaceable on the housing generally parallel to a predetermined direction, is formed with a cutout opening transversely of the direction and having locking and unlocking flanks directed oppositely at least generally in the direction, and is formed to each side of the cutout with an abutment surface directed generally perpendicular to the direction.
