Patent number: 9188604Abstract: A measuring instrument, in particular a voltage tester, is provided having two probes which are arranged in separate housings through which connecting cables extend. The housings are magnetically attractive, because of either a first magnet arranged on a first one of the housings for cooperation with the magnetic material of the other housing, or a corresponding pair of opposed magnets provided in magnetically attractive relation on the two housings, respectively. Recesses are provided in the second housing opposite the corresponding magnets of the first housing. Corresponding pivot ribs extend circumferentially around the housings in the space between the first one magnet and the adjacent probe end, thereby to permit accurate spacing of the probes during the taking of a test measurement.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 2013Date of Patent: November 17, 2015Assignee: Weidmueller Interface GmbH & Co. KGInventors: Grit Rother, Andreas Giese, Herbert Ehlers, Lars Topp, Lars Kuehne, Armin Herzog

Patent number: 6612206Abstract: The invention relates to pliers having a first operating jaw (1) and a first plier handle (2) fixed thereto, having a second operating jaw (3) which is mounted pivotably by means of a pivot pin (30) and forms a plier mouth with the first operating jaw (1), having a second plier handle (4) which is mounted pivotably on a section (23) of the second operating jaw (3), said section being oriented towards the rear plier end, and having a resilient connecting element (7), of which one end is provided on the second plier handle (4), just behind the second operating jaw (3), and the other end is provided on the first plier handle (2). The pivot pin (30) is fastened on one of the operating jaws (3), and located in the other operating jaw (1) is a slot (33) for accommodating the pivot pin (30), the longitudinal direction of said slot running in the plier plane, at least more or less perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the pliers.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 2000Date of Patent: September 2, 2003Assignee: Weidmuller Interface GmbH & Co.Inventors: Christian Heggemann, Armin Herzog, Thorsten Bornefeld

Patent number: 6508149Abstract: Pliers with a first operating jaw and a first plier handle fixed thereto, have a second operating jaw mounted pivotably on the first operating jaw, and have a second plier handle which is articulated on a section of the second operating jaw. The section is oriented towards the rear plier end, having a connecting element between the first and second plier handles for the purpose of forming a toggle lever, and has a catch which is arranged at the front end of the second plier handle and is intended for preventing the plier handles from spreading apart before they have reached their closed position, the catch engaging, for this purpose, in a row of teeth. The row of teeth is provided on the second operating jaw.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 2000Date of Patent: January 21, 2003Assignee: Weidmüller Interface GmbH & Co.Inventors: Christian Heggemann, Armin Herzog, Thorsten Bornefeld

Patent number: 5724870Abstract: Have a pliers housing (2), two clamping jaws (4, 28) which can be pivoted relative to each other to form a mouth (29) of the pliers, in which mouth two stripping members (51, 59) are arranged such that they can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the mouth by a pull-rod (37), two handles (3, 12), which can be pivoted relative to each other, and a drive device, which is arranged in the pliers housing (2) and can be driven by the pivoting movement of the handles (3, 12) for pivoting the clamping jaws (4, 28) relative to each other and for longitudinal displacement of the pull-rod (37). The drive device has cam discs (18a, 18b) via which both the relative pivoting of the clamping jaws (4, 28) and the longitudinal displacement of the pull-rod (37) can be controlled.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 1996Date of Patent: March 10, 1998Assignee: Weidmuller Interface GmbH & Co.Inventors: Ulrich Wiebe, Hartmut Schmode, Armin Herzog, Joachim Kornfeld, Detlev Hetland, Bernd David, Gunther Hanning, Thorsten Bornefeld, Gernot Siegmund

Patent number: 5572911Abstract: A device for stripping conductor ends contains two stripping devices arranged in a mouth formed by clamping jaws. The two stripping devices can be displaced in a longitudinal direction of the mouth. At least one of the stripping devices includes a stack of laminates which are located side by side. The stack can be moved transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction of the mouth and has cutting edges which penetrate into insulation of a conductor which is held by the clamping jaws when the mouth is closed. A laminate guidance device is matched to the profile of the conductor and controls the laminate transverse movement in a corresponding manner. The laminate guidance device is located on the rear side of the laminate stack.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1995Date of Patent: November 12, 1996Assignee: Weidmuller Interface GmbH & Co.Inventors: Hartmut Schmode, Ulrich Wiebe, Armin Herzog, Joachim Kornfeld, Bernd David, Detlev Hetland, G unther Hanning, Siegmund Gernot, Thorsten Bornefeld

Patent number: 5381601Abstract: An insulation stripping apparatus is disclosed including a tool housing (1) containing a slitting channel (6) for laterally receiving an insulated conductor (7). A clamping or support body (10) connected with the tool housing carries at least one knife cassette (33) that is laterally adjustable longitudinally of the slitting channel in a corresponding cassette-receiving opening (26) contained in the clamping body between different cutting positions relative to the conductor. The thickness of the knife cassette is appreciably less than the length of the groove, whereby a plurality of knife cassettes may be mounted for simultaneous cutting of the insulation at desired cutting depths and at a plurality of longitudinally displaced positions, respectively.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 1993Date of Patent: January 17, 1995Assignee: Weidmuller Interface GmbH & Co.Inventors: Laurence K.
