  • Patent number: 11957590
Abstract: A shell (1) for a prosthetic joint to be driven into a bone substance. The shell having an outer lateral surface (4) which is convexly curved in cross section and on which a plurality of ribs (5) is arranged. All ribs extend in the same direction at a preferably increasing gradient angle of 45° to 85° at the equatorial end (6) to a pole-side end (7). The cumulative flank projection area of all ribs (5) corresponds to at least a fifth of the entire outer lateral surface. As a result of this measure, a very high primary stability is achieved once the shell has been driven in, the shell being screwed into the bone substance very precisely and without bone material being sheared off. This arrangement can also be applied, similarly, to a concavely curved inner lateral surface.

  • Patent number: 10258474
Abstract: An artificial joint cup, in particular a hip joint cup, for implanting in a cavity in a bone. The joint cup is, in particular, substantially in the form of a spherical dome cup, having a convex outer surface and a concave inner surface. In addition, the joint cup comprises an outer diameter and an inner diameter. The ratio of the difference between the outer diameter and the inner diameter, in relation to the outer diameter, is in a range of between 0.5 and 0.07, preferably between 0.3 and 0.075, particularly preferably between 0.2 and 0.1. The joint cup is manufactured from a ceramic material, and the convex outer surface has a micro-structuring.

Abstract: An artificial joint cup (2), in particular a hip joint cup, for implanting in a cavity in a bone. The joint cup (2) is, in particular, substantially in the form of a spherical dome cup, having a convex outer surface (3) and a concave inner surface (4). In addition, the joint cup (2) comprises an outer diameter (OD) and an inner diameter (ID). The ratio of the difference (D) between the outer diameter (OD) and the inner diameter (ID) in relation to the outer diameter (OD) is in a region between 0.5 and 0.07, preferably between 0.3 and 0.075, particularly preferably between 0.2 and 0.1. The joint cup (2) is manufactured from a ceramic material, and the convex outer surface (3) has a micro-structuring.

  • Publication number: 20010049860
Abstract: Textile fibers, in particular cotton fibers, in a treatment installation by way of a transport system are supplied after one another to various treatment stations. With this the fibers are at least cleaned and homogenized. With a sensor system (10) continuously at least two different physical variables (22) are detected at the fibers. From the detected variables certain fiber properties are deduced and actual values are formed which in an evaluation means (8, 9) are compared to a nominal value (24) for each fiber property. With the presence of deviations from a nominal value the operating condition at least of one treatment station and/or of the transport system is changed. With this the whole treatment process is to be optimized.

  • Patent number: 5933921
Abstract: The position of foreign matter in a bale pattern after its separation in a separating device (10) may be evaluated in that the relative position of the opening device (1) and the transport time of the fibers between the opening device (1) and the separating device (10) is determined in each relative position. Given a separating procedure, taking account of the mentioned variables, the position of the opening device (1) at the point in time of opening the foreign matter (28) is evaluated. The determined opening position of the foreign matter on the fiber bales (27) is stored as a signal and subsequently preferably graphically represented. The method permits conclusions on the degree of contamination of the fiber bales.
