Abstract: A first computer-implemented method is disclosed for managing a textile machine comprises allowing to create, to select and/or to remove an object representing the textile machine, and t to add to the representing object, to modify and/or to remove spare parts therefrom and/or parts subject to wear, which belong to the textile machine. A second computer-implemented method is disclosed for managing a textile installation comprises allowing to create, to modify and/or to delete a textile installation with a plurality of textile machines and allowing to manage each one of the textile machines according to the first mentioned method. Another computer-implemented method is disclosed for managing an arrangement with a plurality of textile installations comprises allowing to create, to modify and/or to delete an assortment with a plurality of textile installations, and to manage each one of the textile installations according to the second mentioned method.

To increase productivity and obtain an improved combed sliver, downstream of the supply device there are at least two rotatably mounted rollers rotating rapidly without interruption, which are provided with the clamping devices for the fiber bundle, and between the sliver-forming element and the drafting system at least one conveyor element for a formed combed sliver is present.

The first measuring element comprises a temperature probe for the temperature of the roller surface. The second measuring element comprises a rotational speed sensor for the roller speed. To allow an actual carding nip to be determined, permitting a comparison with a preset carding nip, a third measuring element for the temperature of the holding devices is provided and the control device determines the actual spacing for the roller and the side panels.

In order to allow, by simple means, automatic matching of the actual value of the speed of rotation to a prespecified value of the speed of rotation, the drive motor co-operates with a closed-loop rotary speed control device which is incorporated into the control and regulation device of the spinning room machine.
