  • Patent number: 9103369
Abstract: A bearing assembly includes two tapered roller bearings having inner and outer rings and tapered rollers therebetween. The inner rings are mounted to a first machine part, and the outer rings are mounted on an adapter sleeve on a second machine part. The adapter sleeve has a first end axially fixed relative to the second machine part and a second end axially spaced from an axial stop of the second machine part by an axial gap. At a non-operating temperature, such as 20° C., the gap has a width of about 30 ?m to 250 ?m, and at an operating temperature of over 50° C. the gap disappears and the second end contacts the axial stop. The width of the gap at the non-operating temperature is selected to produce a predetermined preload on the bearing assembly at the operating temperature.

  • Patent number: 7570665
Abstract: To achieve coordination during generation of a plurality of mixed media streams, there is suggested a method of generating a mixed media stream (62-64) from input media streams (40-50) having payload data elements and related identifiers. The method comprises the step (S12) of aligning the input media streams (40-50) according to a pre-specified relation between identifiers in different input media streams (40-50) before generating the mixed media stream.

  • Patent number: 5649772
Abstract: A rolling bearing comprises an inner race and an outer race which together enclose a bearing space in which rolling elements are accommodated, which bearing space is sealed off by means of seals fixed on the outer race. In order to prevent oil leakage, provision is made for the fastening between each seal and the outer race to be liquid-tight. The outer race can comprise at least one groove in which a seal is accommodated, while an elastic shut-off element can be provided, which shut-off element is accommodated in the groove.

  • Patent number: 4860605
Abstract: A device for producing an axial displacement of two opposing relatively rotatable thrust members having a plurality of conical rolling elements installed between the thrust members which roll on angled ramps hus change the distance between the thrust members, at least one of the thrust washers having a conical face; and a loose outside flange designed as a closed, flexible ring circumscribing the rollers which absorbs the radial forces proceeding from the loaded conical rollers and exerts a binding effect on the conical rollers.
