  • Publication number: 20240121348
Abstract: A device and method for improving the reproducibility of image captures are provided. The device comprises a guide device (1) configured to guide at least one object (2) in an object plane (1a); at least one driving device (3) configured to transport the object (2) in the object plane (1a) in a transport direction (8); an image plane (5); at least one contact image sensor comprising at least one light source (4) for illuminating the object (2); a plurality of rod-shaped lenses (6) arranged between the object plane (1a) and the image plane (5) and in a row along a direction transverse to the transport direction (8) of the object (2); and at least one light-sensitive in-line pixel array (7) arranged in the image plane (5); a control device (9) configured to control at least one of the light source (4) and the light-sensitive in-line pixel array (7) and to capture a signal generated by the light-sensitive in-line pixel array (7).

  • Patent number: 9396602
Abstract: A method for paying out banknotes by cash machines and a cash machine for carrying out the method. For each banknote paid out to a customer, an individual characteristic feature of the banknote that distinguishes it from other banknotes is recorded. In addition, the data of the customer and/or the data for the paying-out transaction are recorded for each banknote dispensed to a customer. The cash machine is equipped with at least one sensor for sensing the individual characteristic feature of each banknote to be dispensed.

  • Publication number: 20160055358
Abstract: Checking of security elements for value documents, which have a plurality of magnetic regions, includes at least a high-coercivity magnetic region having a high-coercivity magnetic material, a low-coercivity magnetic region having a low-coercivity magnetic material, and, where applicable, a combined magnetic region containing both the high-coercivity and the low-coercivity magnetic material. After magnetization of all magnetic materials or the magnetic regions formed therefrom in one direction with a first magnetic field region, only the low-coercivity magnetic material is remagnetized in another direction in a subsequent second magnetic field region. Magnetic signals of the magnetic regions are captured while the security element is still subjected to the second magnetic field region. On the basis of the signals all three types of magnetic region can be reliably distinguished.

  • Patent number: 9087424
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for checking the degree of soiling of bank notes. To this end, the bank notes are conveyed along a transport path and illuminated by at least one light source with visible light of the blue spectral range. The light reflected and/or emitted by the bank notes, and/or the light having penetrated the bank notes due to transmission, is detected by means of at least one sensor and evaluated.

  • Publication number: 20130026228
Abstract: A method for paying out banknotes by cash machines and a cash machine for carrying out the method are proposed. In this case, for each banknote paid out to a customer, an individual characteristic feature of the banknote that distinguishes it from other banknotes is recorded. In addition, the data of the customer and/or the data for the paying-out transaction are stored for each banknote dispensed to a customer. The cash machine is equipped with at least one sensor for recording an individual feature on each banknote to be dispensed.
