Abstract: A honeycomb storage system with at least one shelf unit, including a plurality of storage units arranged side-by-side and overtop of each other, accessible from an operating side, for receiving cartridges. The storage units are embodied such that the cartridges can be removed horizontally at the operating side in the longitudinal direction and can be inserted therein. A shelf operating device is arranged at an operating side and a commissioning device is arranged on a front side of the shelf opposite the operating side. The commissioning device is allocated to a plurality of storage units used as marshaling storage units, which are embodied such that cartridges located therein can also be removed at the front of the shelf. The commissioning device has several commissioning sites for placing cartridges as well as a commissioning cart that can move along the front of the shelf perpendicular in reference to the cartridges. This cart is embodied such that it can approach all commissioning sites.

Abstract: A method for sawing a metal tube 3 or hollow section using a band-saw machine which has a stationary lower saw part 1 having a saw table 2 for placing and fixing a metal tube 3 to be sawn, and an upper saw part 4 which is movable in relation to the lower saw part 1 and which has a revolving saw band 5. The revolving saw band 5 via a feed motion 13 of the upper saw part 4, which is performed in relation to the lower saw part 1, penetrates the metal tube 3 and, for performing a saw cut, is guided through said metal tube 3. The feed motion is carried out substantially counter to the force of gravity.

Abstract: A rack storage system 1 and a method for controlling the movement path of a storage and retrieval device in a rack storage system, including at least one storage and retrieval device with at least two movement axes x, y which can be controlled independently of one another and are operated by electric motors, to carry out a movement from a starting point to a target point 4 to transfer stored goods within the rack storage system and/or into or out of the rack storage system, having a control unit for controlling the motors of the movement axes x, y and an electric intermediate circuit for exchanging fed-back electrical energy between the motors.

Abstract: A method for controlling a sawing machine is provided. For a first cut in a workpiece, a working feed rate that is specific to the workpiece geometry, the workpiece material and the sawing tool is defined in advance. During the first cut, an instantaneous value of a physical variable is determined at a frequency converter, that is related to the torque transmitted by the sawing tool drive to the sawing tool, and this value is transmitted as an instantaneous torque value to a machine controller. The instantaneous torque value is continuously evaluated, a maximum torque value of the first cut is determined and a maximum value for the torque value is defined based thereon. For subsequent cuts in the same workpiece, the working feed rate is regulated, using the instantaneous torque value as a regulating variable, such that the instantaneous torque value is kept constant, close to the maximum valve.

Abstract: A sawing machine having a sawing bench and clamping jaws, which are movable back and forth, for positioning workpieces, and an upper saw part generates a sawing feeding movement extending in a cutting plane and carries a sawing tool. A machine controller controls movement sequences and the clamping jaws to clamp the workpiece in a zero position with a front end side of the workpiece located in the cutting plane, and moves the clamped workpiece from the zero position into a cutting position. The machine controller clamps the workpiece in the clamping jaws and then waits for an offset value input which corresponds to the distance of the front end side of the workpiece from the zero position. Then, it moves the workpiece into the zero position by advancing or retracting the clamping jaws, taking into consideration the offset value, re-clamping it and moving it into the cutting position by way of a feeding movement.

Abstract: A storage rack having a shelf with storage spaces, arranged over top of each other, for pallets that are horizontally removed sideways. A rack operating device moves the pallets from the spaces, and a station cart forms a lowermost space for a pallet, and can be horizontally moved from the rack on first rails. An upper cart is located above the station cart and forms another one of the spaces to receive a pallet and is horizontally movable on second rails that have a wider track than the first rails and also lead out of the rack. The upper cart has a greater clearance in an area of the station cart which is larger than a length of the pallet, and runs on the second rails, and parts of the upper cart not related to the support structure thereof can be inserted between the vertical rack supports of the rack.

An upper cart (9) is located above the station cart (8) and forms another one of the storage spaces (4) to receive a pallet (5) and is horizontally movable on a second pair of rails (13), which generally extend at a same height as the first pair of rails (12), and have a wider track and also lead out of the rack (1).

Abstract: An apparatus for transferring long stock (3) from or to either of two storage racks (1) arranged in parallel to each other, to a processing station, such as a saw. The apparatus is located in an aisle (4) between the storage racks and has a pair of arms (18, 19, 20, 20a) arranged in a parallel linkage system. The arms are journalled on the apparatus for simultaneous pivotal movement. The free end of each pair of arms has a conveyor (9, 10) mounted thereon to extend in parallel and adjacent to the storage racks (1) between upper and lower positions which for each conveyor are substantially identical. A hoist is provided for loading long stock onto, and remove it from, either conveyor (9, 10) in its upper position. In the lower position either conveyor (9, 10) is aligned with a processing station.
