  • Publication number: 20150037110
Abstract: A machining device has a tool spindle for machining workpieces which is connected to a first provision unit for providing a cooling fluid and to a second provision unit for providing a fluid or a lubricant-fluid mixture. The provision units are controlled by means of a control unit. Control is performed by in particular at least one measuring sensor, for instance a thermometer, by means of which a flow rate of the cooling fluid and/or the fluid or the lubricant-fluid mixture is adjusted. The tool spindle is provided with two supply channels for supplying the cooling fluid and/or the fluid or the lubricant-fluid mixture. The supply channels allow the cooling fluid and/or the fluid or the lubricant-fluid mixture to be supplied to the machining tool. This results in an optimized machining process for the most different cutting processes and materials of the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 6012880
Abstract: A precise finish machining of bearing bores (25) at crankcases (26) is made feasible by way of a device with tow skid-guided spindle boxes (1, 2), the drivable spindles of which are in flush alignment. One spindle is designed as a working spindle (3) carrying a radially adjustable tool (11), while the other spindle is designed as a guide spindle (4) engaging with a guide pin (6) into a front-end bore (5) of the working spindle (3). The guide pin (6) is succeeded by a cone (7) on which the adjustable tool (11) is supported, and where a measuring key (14) is located between the cone (7) and the base (12) of the bore (5), the measuring signal from said measuring key serving for control of the distance between both spindle boxes (1, 2) and thus for control of the radial excursion of the tool (11).

  • Patent number: 5651945
Abstract: A carbon black reactor having a combustion chamber, a mixing chamber and a reaction chamber positioned along a longitudinal axis of the reactor. The chambers communicate with each other so as to provide a flow path for the hot combustion gases as the combustion gases travel from the combustion chamber, through the mixing chamber and into the reaction chamber. The mixing chamber is designed in the form of an axial narrow area in a dividing wall separating the combustion chamber from the reaction chamber. In addition to the mixing chamber, the combustion chamber and the reaction chamber additionally communicate with each other through at least one bypass bore provided in the dividing wall and positioned radially externally to the mixing chamber and internally to the surface of the combustion chamber. The bypass bores can be either axially aligned so as to be parallel to a central, axial axis of the mixing chamber or inclined.
