  • Patent number: 11933224
Abstract: The present invention relates to a fuel metering unit for an aircraft engine, comprising: —a metering member configured to receive a position control signal and to meter the feed of fuel to the engine depending on said position control; —a cutting member configured to cut the feed of fuel to the engine; and characterized in that the fuel metering unit also has a computer for protecting and cutting the engine, said protecting and cutting computer being configured to—detect an overspeeding state of the engine speed and—in response to the detection of an overspeeding state, to transmit a cutting control signal to a cutting control member contained in the cutting member.

  • Patent number: 11927141
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for metering fuel in a fuel supply circuit of an aircraft engine, the circuit comprising a metering device for a fuel circuit of an aircraft engine comprising, downstream of a fuel pumping system and upstream of injectors: —a fuel inlet (E), —a metering device (FMV) and a cut-off device (HPSOV) arranged in series, —an adjustment valve (VR) arranged on a fuel recirculation branch, such that any excess fuel supplied by the pumping system is fed back into the fuel circuit, wherein at least one flow-metric sensor (WFM1) is arranged on the recirculation branch, a density value for the metered fuel is determined according to the sensor measurements and the metering device is controlled according to the fuel density value thus determined.

  • Patent number: 11365692
Abstract: A fuel metering circuit for a turbomachine includes: a meter; a pump; a control valve configured to return an excess flow of fuel delivered to the meter towards the pump on the basis of a fuel pressure differential at the terminals of the meter; a diaphragm; and a volumetric flow meter. The diaphragm and the volumetric flow meter are mounted parallel to the meter, downstream of the control valve, in order to determine a density of the fuel flowing in the metering circuit.

  • Publication number: 20220003173
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for monitoring the operating state of a turbomachine hydro-mechanical unit (100) of an aircraft comprising: a metering valve (130), comprising a movable metering part (138), a control valve (140), configured to control the flow rate (Q) through the metering valve (130), a flow rate meter (150) able to measure the mass flow rate (Q) of passing fuel, characterized in that a monitoring module (300) is configured for implementing the following steps: (E20?) determining a reconstructed flow rate based on the position of the movable part (138) and on a measurement of the density of the fuel, (E30) calculating a residue, and comparing said residue to a determined threshold value, (E90) determining an abnormal operating state of the hydro-mechanical unit depending on the result of the comparison.
