  • Publication number: 20200182076
Abstract: Static blade for an axial flow turbine comprising an aerofoil portion having a leading edge, a trailing edge, a pressure side and a suction side and radially inner and outer reinforcement portions integral with said aerofoil portion. Each reinforcement portion closely follows the shape of the section of the aerofoil portion.

  • Patent number: 9816380
Abstract: Low-pressure turbine rotors for a thermoelectric power station include an interconnection of slender blades. The rotor includes blades bearing caps being roughly in the shape of a chevron.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 6, 2014
Date of Patent: November 14, 2017
    Assignee: General Electric Technology GmbH
Inventors: Michel Floch, Arnaud Buguin, Julien Lemaire
  • Patent number: 9604323
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a steam turbine low-pressure or medium-pressure module deflector, said deflector comprising an internal ring and an external ring as well as vanes, said method comprising a step of welding said vanes to said rings. The main characteristic of a method according to the invention is that the welding step is preceded by a step of automatically machining the ends of each vane to create a peripheral recess around each of said ends.

  • Patent number: 9429028
Abstract: A pinned root fixing arrangement of axial flow steam turbine rotor discs made of a low alloy that is less susceptible to stress corrosion cracking (SCC). Such an arrangement has a first ratio, which is defined as ratio of the axial breadth of the disc fingers and the sum of the axial breath and the axial breadth G of the gap between adjacent disc fingers, in the range of about 0.4 to about 0.6 and further has a second ratio, which is defined as the ratio of the length of the disc fingers and the blade fingers to the diameter, between 4 and 6.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 9022658
Abstract: A hydrodynamic journal pad bearing is provided having several pads circumferentially distributed around the rotor of a large steam turbine with each pad mounted onto a platform separating the pad from a cylindrical cage in turn connected to the floor of a hall housing the turbine and having an interface between at least one of the several pads and the platform on which the at least one of the several pads is mounted is formed such as to include at least two areas with different curvatures to increase the stiffness of the interface in the event of a relative movement between the pad and the platform.

  • Publication number: 20130084165
Abstract: An installation includes a high pressure steam turbine module, a medium pressure steam turbine module, and at least one low pressure steam turbine module, sealing devices being positioned between a rotating turbine shaft and corresponding casings of the various turbine modules, each of the modules include a main chamber in which the turbine is housed. The installation also includes a first collection chamber positioned in the casing of the high pressure module to collect the steam leaks leaving the high pressure module through its sealing device at a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure, and an injection chamber positioned in the casing of the low pressure module and connected by a first circuit to the first collection chamber such that the steam is transferred from the first collection chamber toward the injection chamber, and then toward the main chamber of the low pressure module through its sealing device.
