    Abstract: The invention relates to a braking device (1) of an aircraft wheel, comprising a ring (15) which has a plurality of cavities (17) in which actuators (18) are fitted in order to apply a braking force to a stack of discs (11) which extend opposite the ring. The ring is provided with a heat shield (25) which extends opposite a face of the ring directed towards the stack of discs in order to protect the ring from thermal radiation which is generated by the stack of discs. According to the disclosure, the heat shield is provided with holes (26) through which the actuators extend and which have a sectional profile which is formed to reflect the thermal radiation away from the device.

    Abstract: A measuring device has a magnetic circuit with a first and second armature elements that are positioned one on either side of an axis X and are manufactured with at least one ferromagnetic material. A magnet is situated between the armature elements such that a first pole of the magnet is positioned next to the first armature element and such that a second pole of the magnet is positioned next to the second armature element. A rod is arranged to be secured to a target and inserted between the armature elements to slide along the axis X. The rod has a variable section along its length such that a magnetic flux in the magnetic circuit depends on a linear position of the rod along the axis X. At least one sensor is arranged to measure the magnetic flux, which corresponds to the linear position of the target.

The method comprises the step of integrating a compressor (20; 30; 40) into a space extending inside the torsion tube in order to draw in air beneath the torsion tube and to return the air thus drawn in by the compressor over the torsion tube towards the brake discs.
