  • Patent number: 11264622
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a membrane-electrode assembly for a fuel cell comprises the following steps: a first step during which a chemical catalyst element is deposited on a first face of an ion-exchanging membrane, the membrane being held on a support film; a second step during which the membrane is unglued from the support film; a third step during which the membrane is inserted between two reinforcing elements; and a fourth step during which a chemical catalyst element is deposited on the part left free of the second face of the membrane.

  • Publication number: 20220037690
Abstract: A method for producing a membrane electrode assembly for a fuel cell comprising a proton exchange polymer membrane, catalyst layers, and first and second gas diffusion layers, the method comprising the following steps: a) forming a catalytic layer coating on a first surface of the membrane, the opposite surface being supported by a spacer; b) forming a catalytic layer coating on a first surface of the first gas diffusion layer; c) bringing the first surface of the first gas diffusion layer into contact with the surface opposite to the said first surface of the membrane, after removing the spacer, and bringing the first surface of the membrane into contact with a surface of the second gas diffusion layer.

  • Patent number: 10826103
Abstract: A fuel cell includes (1) a stack including (a) an assembly of overlaid electrochemical generators, which are disposed along a stack axis, and (b) end plates axially clasping the assembly, and (2) at least one holding winding. Each holding winding includes at least one taut wire wound around the stack in a plurality of turns. Each holding winding surrounds the stack and bears on the end plates. Each taut wire is formed of at least one layer or sheet, and ends of each taut wire are fixed on at least one of the end plates.

  • Publication number: 20180375117
Abstract: A method is provided for producing a fuel cell that includes a stack of unit cells separated by bipolar plates. Each unit cell includes at least an anode element, a cathode element, an ion-exchange membrane, a reinforcing element, and a gas diffusion layer. The anode element and the cathode element are separated by the ion-exchange membrane. The method includes steps of: producing a silicone seal by screen printing, positioning the silicone seal on the reinforcing element, assembling constituent elements of a unit cell, and positioning a bipolar plate on each side of the unit cell. The steps of the method are repeated as many times as needed depending on a desired size of the stack.

  • Publication number: 20100282332
Abstract: A safety valve for a fluid circuit under pressure (P), the valve comprising a body (2), a piston (3) able to move with respect to the body between a closed position and a purge position. A thermally deformable element (5) acts to cause the piston to move from the closed position to the purge position above and beyond a purge temperature so as to connect the circuit to a discharge duct (16). The valve further comprises an overpressure relief device sensitive to the pressure of the fluid and configured to connect the circuit to the discharge duct when the pressure (P) of the circuit reaches a trip pressure.
