  • Patent number: 11946745
Abstract: Adapted positioning information is provided towards at least one consuming application regarding a plurality of objects. In a first step, the position of at least one specific object is detected using at least one sensor of a sensor layer or functionality, thereby generating at least one piece of preliminary positioning information. In a second step, subsequent to the first step, a positioning middleware functionality generates at least one piece of adapted positioning information, based on the at least one piece of preliminary positioning information, and based on a priori knowledge. In a third step, subsequent to the second step, the at least one piece of adapted positioning information is provided to the at least one consuming application.

  • Patent number: 10838069
Abstract: A method for improving positioning accuracy of global navigation satellite systems includes: in a first step, a reference station located at a base station of a mobile communication network receives at least a first satellite signal transmitted from a global navigation satellite system; in a second step, subsequent to the first step, a server of the mobile communication network calculates correction information based on the first satellite signal received by the reference station; in a third step, subsequent to the second step, the correction information is transmitted to a mobile user equipment entity from a base station of the mobile communication network; in a fourth step, the mobile user equipment entity receives a second satellite signal transmitted from the global navigation satellite system; and in a fifth step, subsequent to the third step, the position of the mobile user equipment entity is calculated based on the correction information and the second satellite signal.

  • Publication number: 20180110026
Abstract: A method for providing positioning information of a first user equipment in a mobile communication network includes: receiving, by a location server, a request for positioning information of the first user equipment from a requesting service; receiving, by the location server, first measurement data from the first user equipment; receiving, by the location server, second measurement data from a first base station to the location server, wherein the first base station is serving the first user equipment; selecting, by the location server, dependent on a use case requirement of the requesting service, one or more of the first measurement data and the second measurement data as selected measurement data; determining, by the location server, based on the selected measurement data, positioning information for the first user equipment; and transmitting, by the location server, the determined positioning information to the requesting service.

  • Patent number: 7054640
Abstract: Available transfer capacity is apportioned efficiently by stations informing each other of their capacity needs by sending messages when necessary. The sent messages can contain information on priority and capacity requirement. Stations which receive the sent capacity requests release unrequired transfer capacity or transfer capacity which is not urgently required, so that the capacity can by used by a station in need. The corresponding information can also be transferred by other stations, e.g. by several hops.

  • Patent number: 7020471
Abstract: In a radio communications network, transmission time is divided into a succession of frames for conducting data communications with subscriber stations located within a coverage area of two central stations of the network. In a first broadcast phase of each frame, a first central station transmits first frame format information, which defines a first downlink phase of the frame and a first uplink phase. In the same frame, a second central station transmits, on the same frequency, second frame format information, which defines a second downlink phase and a second uplink phase for the communication of subscriber stations with the second central station, whereby the phases with a frame do not overlap.

  • Publication number: 20040132458
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for accessing stations (WT, AP, APTi) onto a common transfer medium, wherein said stations (WT, AP, APTi) share the common transfer medium with other stations. In order to apportion the available transfer capacity as efficiently as possible, said stations inform each other of their capacity needs by sending messages when necessary. The sent messages can contain information on priority and capacity requirement. Stations which receive the sent capacity requests release unrequired transfer capacity or transfer capacity which is not urgently required, so that said capacity can by used by a station in need. The corresponding information can also be transferred by other stations, e.g. by several hops.

  • Publication number: 20040131084
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the parallel transmission of identical data from a transmitter/receiver device to a plurality of terminals, said transmission at least partially proceeding via a radio connection. Common transmission capacities for a transmission of quality information regarding the transmission quality of the data are provided to the transmitter/receiver device in this radio connection for the purpose of transmission by a plurality of terminals.

  • Publication number: 20040023649
Abstract: In a radio communications network, the time is divided into a succession of frames for conducting data communications with subscriber stations located within a coverage area of two central stations of the network. In a first broadcast phase of each frame, a first central station (AP1) transmits first frame format information (BCH), which defines a first downlink phase of the frame (DL phase) and a first uplink phase (UL phase). In the same frame, a second central station transmits, on the same frequency, second frame format information (BCH), which defines a second downlink phase and a second uplink phase for the communication of subscriber stations (MS) with the second central station (AP2), whereby the phases within a frame do not overlap.
