  • Patent number: 5128121
Abstract: There is provided a method of generating enhanced images of the human or non-human animal body, for example for use in medical diagnosis, which involves administering to the body a positive MRI contrast agent which is body tissue- or body duct-specific following the particular mode of administration and a negative MRI contrast agent which preferably also is body tissue- or body duct-specific. Thereafter a magnetic resonance image is generated of a part of the body containing the negative and positive contrast agents or their paramagnetic, ferromagnetic or superparamagnetic biodegradation products. Contrast media suitable for use in this new image generating method are also provided.

  • Patent number: 4708432
Abstract: A fiber optic connector includes two connector parts provided with respective covers, which in the disconnected condition of the connector, protects interfaces in the light path and which, during mating of the connector parts for mutual coupling therebetween, is adapted to be displaced in order that the interfaces be exposed and that a continuous light path is established through the connector. Each cover has a wiper element adapted to clean the corresponding interface when the cover is displaced. Preferably each connector part has a separate fiber holder which suitably is suspended in a movable manner. The location of the light path in the side-wall of the connector provides particularly good protection and cleaning.

  • Patent number: 4557655
Abstract: A method of and a magazine for serving machines for mechanical treatment with a robot. Articles to be machined are supplied on pallets on a first conveyor. A robot collects an article from a pallet on said conveyor, places it in the machine and collects a machined article and places it on a pallet on a second conveyor belt. The robot is connected to or grips an empty pallet and moves this from the first to the second conveyor belt.

  • Patent number: 4367893
Abstract: Gripping device (1), primarily intended for handling objects of circular cross-section such as shafts, round metal plates or rings with the aid of industrial robots. It comprises three parallel shafts (10a, b, c) with gripping arms with gripping members (11a, b, c). The shafts (10a, b, c) are rotatably journalled in a plane supporting member (2, 3). A drive motor (16) drives one shaft (10a). The other shafts (10b, 10c) are connected together with the driven shaft (10a) by means of gear wheels (14a, b, c), one on the driven shaft (10a) and one on either of the other two shafts (10b, 10c), and two racks (20a, 20b) in mesh with the gear wheel (14a) on the driven shaft (10a) and one of the gear wheels (14b, 14c) on the other shafts (10b, 10c).
