Abstract: A handling mechanism for making a gripping device perform a horizontal transport movement with connecting vertical raising and lowering movements at either end. A parallelogram linkage arrangement carrying the gripping device has one arm pivotally joined to the crank pin of a reciprocally pivoting crank. The upper end of the arm will follow a purely vertical path of movement by means of guides. Two cam follower rollers rotatable about the axis of the crank pin and abutting stationary cam curves impart a circle arc movement to the crank pin with connecting vertical movement segments at both ends, the crank being made in two pivoting parts so that its radius is variable. A device included in the handling mechanism selectively alters the length of stroke of the arm.

Abstract: A device for separating an end blank from a stack of blanks comprises a stacking rack and an arrangement including at least one drivable feeder tooth, at least two supports lying against the outer side of an end blank and at least one abutment. In said arrangement which can be coupled together with the rack, a support and a feeder tooth are located in close proximity, and at least one such set is located at opposite sides of an end blank in the stack. A fixed and a movable abutment is arranged at one side of the end blank in connection with the support and the feeder tooth. The support(s) opposite the abutments can be displaced perpendicularly to the plane of the blanks. The feeder teeth are arranged to move an end blank laterally in the stack.

Abstract: A device for translating movements in one plane to movements in a perpendicular plane wherein a first member, movable on a frame with a reversible drive, has gripping arms attached to it. A second movable member is also attached to the first member and connected to the arms. The first member has a lock mechanism for the second member, interacting with stops on the frame. The drive is attached to the second member, the first and second members being releasably connected by the lock mechanism. A connector links the arms to the second member which is released from the lock mechanism when the first member as well as the arms have reached an end position. Depending on the setting of the drive, the second member continues its displacement to move the arms, via the connector, perpendicularly to the plane of movement of the first and second members.
