Publication number: 20100197214Abstract: The present invention provides a cooling system, which is referred to herein as a slider vent, for dwellings or residences that have a sliding patio door or the like. In an embodiment of the invention, the slider vent occupies approximately six (6) inches of the sliding door track and uses two centrifugal fans to exhaust hot interior air within the dwelling directly to the exterior of the residence and draws in cooler exterior air from outside the dwelling via an adjacent open window. The electrical components within the unit are enclosed by an inner housing for consumer safety and to protect them from the elements, and ventilation flows through an assemblage of moveable shutters that remain closed when the fans are not in operation. The unit is powered by a household power source via a plug connected at the bottom of the unit on the interior side. The unit also has a variable speed control to adjust air flow, located in the center of the unit, also on the interior side.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 4, 2009Publication date: August 5, 2010Inventors: Michael F. Patent number: 6643962Abstract: A card with pop-out object and display system is disclosed. The display card generally comprises a base having a non-display surface and an opposing display surface and comprising a platform portion disposed between at least two support portions for supporting the platform portion when the display card is in a display configuration, and at least two flaps securable to the non-display surface of the base when the display card is in a generally flat, storage configuration and securable to the display surface when the card is in the display configuration, wherein the non-display surface is generally hidden from view when the display card is in the display configuration. The display card typically further includes an object and an object housing attached to the non-display surface of the base. The object housing defines an opening for removably storing the object therein. The base serves as a backing to the object when the object is stored in the object housing.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2002Date of Patent: November 11, 2003Assignee: Treasure Bay, LLCInventors: Don J. Patent number: 6076511Abstract: A launcher for a ring airfoil includes a magazine assembly holding a plurality of ring airfoils. The magazine assembly is coupled to a launching mechanism, and the launching mechanism provides an indexing motion to the magazine assembly. In use, the setting action of the launching mechanism indexes the magazine assembly allowing a ring airfoil to engage with the launching mechanism for subsequent launching. Additional ring airfoils may be launched by repeated actuation of the launching mechanism without reloading the magazine assembly with ring airfoils.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 1999Date of Patent: June 20, 2000Assignee: OddzOnInventors: Thomas H. Grimm, Arturo Meuniot, William S. Law, Christopher Fruhauf, Arne Lang-Ree

Patent number: 6010419Abstract: A throwing toy is provided which is adapted to be thrown by a user for a flight through the air along a flight path. The toy includes a football-shaped head portion, generally centered about a longitudinal axis, an elongate tail portion extending axially rearward the head portion along the longitudinal axis, and a coupling, which interconnects the head and tail portions and allows the portions to be movable relative to each other, particularly to be rotatably movable about the longitudinal axis. Because the head portion and tail portion can rotate relative to each other, the user can hold the head portion in the hand and throw the toy through the air, imparting a spin to head portion causing it to rotate about its longitudinal axis throughout the flight. At the same time, the tail portion remains substantially fixed throughout the flight with respect to the longitudinal axis because the spin imparted to the head portion is substantially isolated from the tail portion by the rotatable coupling.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 1997Date of Patent: January 4, 2000Assignee: OddzOn, Inc,Inventors: Mark J. Rappaport, Jose E. Leal, Thomas H. Grimm, Arne Lang-Ree, Ron LaRonge

Patent number: 5575390Abstract: Reusable plastic trays for storing and transporting beverage containers, such as twelve-ounce metal cans and two-liter PET bottles. The tray floor has thereon an array of support areas for the containers. The tray rail band thereof is spaced high enough above the floor to prevent container tipping and in a "low-depth" configuration. The outside rail band faces are vertical on both sides and are against the containers, and thereby add little to the outside tray dimensions. The inside face contacts and supports the peripheral containers. Columns between adjacent support areas interconnect the rail and the floor, angle downwardly and inwardly therebetween, open outwardly and form vertical nesting slots. The trays when empty can thereby be stacked in a deeply nesting position whereby each additional tray adds only the height of its narrow rail to the nested tray stack height. When the tray is a can tray, the bottom surface of the floor has a pattern of protuberances and recessed areas therebetween.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 1992Date of Patent: November 19, 1996Assignee: Rehrig Pacific CompanyInventors: William P. Apps, Arne Lang-Ree

Patent number: 5555996Abstract: A box or container assembly formed of plastics material and particularly adapted for use in a beverage syrup supply system is covered by opposed lid members whose exposed surface contains an organization of channel-defining projections for stacking superposed containers optionally in columnar- or cross-stacked array. A hinge arrangement effects release from the container of any lid subjected to an excessive lateral force and enables the lids, when open, to be held against the container body with minimal lateral flair for compact nesting. Various forms of access openings are described for accessing a syrup bag spigot and for attaching same when the container assembly forms part of a beverage syrup supply system.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 1993Date of Patent: September 17, 1996Assignee: Rehrig Pacific CompanyInventors: Arne Lang-Ree, William P.
