  • Patent number: 8919530
Abstract: A short gap diverter for a conveyor includes a plurality of spaced apart belts for transferring a product from a speed up conveyor to a primary delivery conveyor. A secondary delivery conveyor is positioned above the transit conveyor. A first set of fingers is positioned between the belts and is moveable from a position below the plane determined by the upper surfaces of the belts to a second position above the plane and angled toward the secondary delivery conveyor. A second set of fingers is mounted on the secondary delivery conveyor and moveable from a first retracted position to an extended position with the extended fingers forming a bridge for directing alternate products to the secondary delivery conveyor.

  • Patent number: 8439184
Abstract: The invention relates generally to a roofing shingle apparatus and more particularly to an improved such apparatus for high speed shingle making generally when handling a double shingle line (one line overlaid on the other with the high side of each line on opposite sides to make a single mostly even thickness) in a more compact arrangement from the cutter to the stackers and catchers, but not limited to a slower single line of shingle making that uses a flipper at the discharge of the catcher shuttle and not limited to a four wide overlaid to four thicknesses of shingles in one line and scissor cut, not described in detail herein, before entering a single line delivery belt section.

  • Publication number: 20110196561
Abstract: This invention generally relates to an elevated transportation network run on electricity with personalized cars that can automatically transport passengers anywhere in a large city or densely populated metropolitan area served by the system without stopping on the way to the final destination. The cars travel on two continuous concrete ribbons with no bumps or cutouts crossing the tire path during switching or on the straight away. The travel path is a combination of central routing and individual car communications with car automatic steering and distance control. The personalized transportation concept can also apply to high speed intercity transportation allowing instant available transportation without intermediate time consuming stops.

  • Patent number: 5906444
Abstract: A method and system for printing bi-directionally with a thermal print head movable back and forth along a print path adjacent a ribbon to transfer ink therefrom onto a substrate. The ribbon being drawn from an unwind reel and adjacent the print path, and the ribbon being clamped to maintain tension on the ribbon at least when the print head moves in the same direction as ribbon is drawn along the print path. A rotary drive member is rotatable in a first direction to actuate a brake member that clamps the ribbon against a fixed ribbon guide, and the rotary drive member is rotatable in a second opposing direction to rotate the rewind reel to draw ribbon from the unwind reel.

  • Patent number: 4107800
Abstract: An improvement in a screw setting implement of the type incorporated in a combination drilling and driving tool which includes a sleeve surrounding screw head-receiving, torque-inducing surfaces. The sleeve forms an axial recess extending outwardly from the torque-inducing surfaces to enable the threaded fastener to be seated without overtorquing. The improvement in the invention comprising means for adjusting the length of the axial recess.
