  • Publication number: 20050122317
Abstract: A display device includes touch screen for the visual display of information and for the input of command and an actuator for moving the touch screen in a direction substantially perpendicular to the touch screen. The touch screen is movable by the actuator by more than 2 mm in the direction substantially perpendicular to the touch screen.

  • Publication number: 20050119799
Abstract: A motor vehicle and an indicating apparatus for a motor vehicle, includes a display for optical depiction of information concerning the motor vehicle by the emission of light, and having a decorative layer positioned on the display.

  • Publication number: 20040207607
Abstract: In an operating element, e.g., a rotatable operating element, a method for command output while using an operating element having at least one integrated display element and at least one operating function as well as uses of an operating element, the operating element has at least one integrated display element and at least one operating function, the at least one display element being freely programmable.

Inventors: Will Specks, Heino Wengelnik, Arne Stoschek
  • Patent number: 6797236
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus and method of reducing noise associated with biomolecular measurement systems. Sensor detection system noise characteristics in the presence of other sensor detection systems are determined and advantageously used to determine an arrangement of the individual sensor cells. The sensor cells are arranged on a substrate such that the system noise is determinable and can thus be filtered from the measurement signal.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 14, 2002
Date of Patent: September 28, 2004
    Assignee: Infineon Technologies AG

  • Patent number: 6580831
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for compression of image data while preserving the usable information and eliminating or reducing associated noise in which the image data includes a signal and noise. The image data is transformed using a multiscale transform technique (such as the Pyramidal Median Transform) such that the image data is represented as a plurality of transform coefficients each having a corresponding weight. From the respective weights, those transform coefficients associated with noise are determined and extracted from the original plurality of transform coefficients. The remaining transform coefficients are subsequently quantized and coded.
