A production method of applying the required colors and substances to the value or security product is also provided. Also included is a respective security technology arrangement for visual and machine-operated detection of authenticity, where electrical fields in particular and optical radiation, preferably in the UV wavelength range, are used to excite so-called phosphorous colors, and additional optical effects in the visible UV wavelength range can be achieved by secondary excitation mechanisms.

    Abstract: A manually controlled sensor for authenticity identification of luminescent identification features on documents is described, in which the identification feature is illuminated with an excitation wavelength and may respond at a different wavelength, with the response wavelength being detected and evaluated by a radiation receiver. In order to improve the sensitivity and to comply with the safety at work regulations, a focused beam (31, 32), which is emitted from a beam source (1), is converted by focusing optics (2, 3) in such a manner that a scanning bar (22), which is approximately in the form of a line, is projected on the surface of the object (5) to be investigated, which causes the identification region (21) which is arranged on the object (5) to fluoresce in a luminescent manner in at least one subregion, and the luminescence signal produced in this way is passed via detection optics (9, 9′, 10) to an evaluation unit (11), which evaluates the luminescence signal.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for determining the authenticity of secured documents which include an authentication element of the type which, when excited with radiation of a specific excitation wavelength, emits radiation which can be detected by a detection unit and evaluated by an evaluating unit. The intensity profile of the emitted radiation is determined in a specified wavelength range over a predetermined measuring period after excitation and analyzed to determine authenticity of the secured document.

    Abstract: A security document with optically excitable dyes for authenticity checking. Dyes are applied to or embedded in the security documents. The dyes are advantageously embedded in a carrier material which in conjunction with the dyes forms a laser-active element. Certain optically excitable dyes are incorporated in a security document in such a way that when the security and/or sensitive document is optically excited, the dyes embedded in the security and/or sensitive document resonate with the material of the securities and secure documents, so that a well-defined narrow spectrum of all excited materials is emitted.

    Abstract: In order to permit a printing form to be produced by laser-induced thermotransfer in a simple manner that can be integrated into the printing machine, without the gases which arise during laser imaging detectably disturbing the transfer of material from the transfer foil, i.e., the image quality, a strip-type transfer foil with a strip width that is small relative to the printing form width is used. During imaging, this transfer foil is conveyed continually between the printing form and the laser beam, close to the printing form surface, and is thereby moved simultaneously and synchronously with the movement of the laser beam across the printing form width.
