  • Publication number: 20060119188
Abstract: A drive device for mining machines, especially for chain-hauled longwall operating equipment, comprising a drive motor (1) disposed in a motor housing (2) and with a flange (3) for connecting the drive motor (1) to a gear unit (30), at least one measurement-collecting device for detecting operating states of the drive motor (1) and/or of the gear unit (30) and a drive computer for actuating the drive motor (1) and/or for actuating components of the gear unit (30), in which at least one receiving casing (8) for the measurement-collecting device and/or the drive computer is disposed on the outside of the motor housing (2).

  • Patent number: 6715601
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the control of the chain drive mechanisms of underground working machines and a correspondingly equipped chain scraper conveyor. The invention proposes to filter out a detection signal (Serk), representative of the currently arising vibrations of the chain (1), from the operating data of the main and auxiliary drives (I, II) by means of a detection device (34), and to take this to an active suppressor (35), which generates a time-variable control signal (STilgung) in accordance with a suppressor function, with which, in the frequency range of the vibration of the chain, a change is effected to a control value, e.g. (Ssoll) for the closing pressure adjustment of a multiple disc clutch (6) of at least one drive unit for the suppression of vibration by the abstraction of energy from, or the introduction of energy into the chain (1).

  • Publication number: 20020195318
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the control of the chain drive mechanisms of underground working machines and a correspondingly equipped chain scraper conveyor. In chain scraper conveyors with a large distance between the main and auxiliary drive stations, e.g. a distance of more than 400 m, a chain breakage in the bottom run or a shaft breakage can arise, which can be traced back to vibration phenomena in the chain. The invention proposes to filter out a detection signal (Serk), representative of the currently arising vibrations of the chain (1), from the operating data of the main and auxiliary drives (I, II) by means of a detection device (34), and to take this to an active suppressor (35), which generates a time-variable control signal (STilgung) in accordance with a suppressor function, with which, in the frequency range of the vibration of the chain, a change is effected to a control value, e.

  • Patent number: 6029799
Abstract: A method for controlling the main and auxiliary drives of conveyors, for example, in underground mining. The drives are controlled as a function of the loading of the conveyor in such a way that in a low load range of the conveyor the auxiliary drive produces a higher output (20.sub.I) than the main drives and as the load increases the output advantage of the auxiliary drive in relation to the main drives is reduced. This special load distribution to auxiliary and main drives has the advantage that sagging of the conveyor element, for example the chain of a scraper chain conveyor in the inaccessible and concealed lower strand, close to the main drive, can be prevented. The risk of damage to the machine frame or conveyor chain is thereby reduced.

  • Patent number: 6008605
Abstract: A method for determining the active power (P) of asynchronous electric motors of winning and conveying equipment in underground mining. According to the invention, particularly easy and accurate determination of the instantaneous active power of the motors is obtained by storing the individual motor characteristic (P(n); M(n)) of each motor in a computer, by detecting the instantaneous speed (n, n') of the motor with the aid of a tachometer and by comparing this speed with the characteristic stored in the computer, the active power being derived from the torque value or power value assigned to the detected instantaneous speed, as stored in the computer. This particularly rapid and simple calculation of the power value does not require any readings to be taken at the power supply to the motors.
