  • Publication number: 20230325422
Abstract: A user interface is displayed to enable a user to initiate a search based on a selected reference document. The UI displays options that enable the user to narrow the search, and the UI receives from the user a selection of portions of the reference document to search against and any annotations. A query is submitted to find a set of patents that are similar to the reference document, and a set of matching patents is received. Text of the reference document and the annotations are input to into a ML model to determine the meanings of words in the reference document. Text of the matching patents are input to the ML model to determine meanings of words in the matching patents. The reference document is searched to find matches between the claims from the matching patents and the reference document. A ranked set of the patents is then displayed.

  • Patent number: 11699034
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments perform patent claims analysis using preconditioning rules to determine relevant portions of a reference document. A query is submitted to find a set of patents that are similar to the reference document. A set of matching patents from the query are received and claim construction rules are used to determine how a meaning of claim elements of the patents will be ascertained in further analysis. Patent infringement rules and an artificial intelligence (AI) system are used to search the relevant portions of the reference document with the claim constructed claim elements of the patents returned from the search. The set of patents are ranked based on assigned confidence scores indicating a degree to which respective claim elements match the relevant portions of the reference document, and the results are presented to a client device. The system may a machine learning model and a natural language understanding (NLU) system.

  • Publication number: 20080134866
Abstract: A system for the extraction of vocal content from a musical track. A hardware platform and a multimedia software application are provided that are suitable for use in playback of the musical track. A filter software unit then dynamically intercepts the musical track in the hardware platform prior to its use there in playback. The filter software unit suppresses the vocal content from the musical track to create an instrumental track, and it passes the instrumental track on for use in playback immediately or after some period of storage.

  • Patent number: 4122604
Abstract: A device to produce lumber from logs, wherein the device is arranged to be attached to a portable chain saw so as to be adjustable to provide various board thicknesses. The device comprises a frame structure having a plurality of laterally spaced support struts secured in spaced relationship to each other by longitudinally arranged rod members. At least two rod members include front and aft drive rollers which are operably connected by a drive-train system including a power motor arrangement whereby the device, along with the chain saw, is continuously fed in a longitudinal cutting direction along the length of the log being cut. The thickness of the lumber being cut is determined by the setting of a thickness control dial unit operably mounted in conjunction with rack and pinion members, wherein the rack members are directly attached to the chain-saw bar.
