  • Patent number: 9652741
Abstract: Systems and methods for synchronizing workspaces in a web-based collaboration environment with local folders on computers of collaborators of the workspaces are disclosed. Collaborators of a workspace can edit copies of work items either at the collaboration environment server or at the computer. Updates to all synchronized folders are automatically performed. Conflicts between edits made by different collaborators to the same file are flagged, and a notification is sent to the author attempting to make edits to a version of a file that has already been updated by another collaborator.

  • Patent number: 9063912
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing content previews of files, including video files, stored in an online content management system with collaboration environment are disclosed. Permission to view a preview of a file is determined based upon access permissions associated with the file and/or workspace in which the file is stored and the access level of the requesting user. The system can also provide a progress indicator indicating the approximate time remaining to process the file for previewing based upon averages of times for processing previous files having similar attributes. In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure include a method, which may be implemented on a system, for downsampling a video file to decrease the processing time for providing a preview.

  • Patent number: 9015601
Abstract: Systems and methods of batch uploading of content to a web-based collaboration environment are disclosed. In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure include a method, which may be implemented on a system, for receiving an upload request from a user through a user interface to upload multiple items and sequentially uploading each of the multiple items to the host server. In one embodiment, the user is able to navigate away from the user interface through which the upload request was submitted prior to completion of the uploading of each of the multiple items to the host server. In addition, the upload of the multiple items is not interrupted if the user accesses a link on the user interface causing another user interface to launch in a browser.

  • Publication number: 20130111336
Abstract: Platform and application independent system and method for networked file access and/or editing are disclosed. In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure include a method, which may be implemented on a system, for identifying an application locally available for use on the device, to edit the file via an operating system of a device through which the request is initiated and automatically launching the application on the device or passing an identifier of the file to the application, such that the file is opened and thus available for edit using the application without a prior prompt to store the file on the device. The automatic launching of the application can occur without the prior prompt to request a user to specify a local directory in which to store the file.

  • Publication number: 20070168506
Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system is operable to: receive a tracking event from a client, recognize tracking specific parameters in the tracking event, generate a tracking entry corresponding to the tracking event, use a tracking service API to send the tracking entry to a second server, and redirect the client to an intended target corresponding to the tracking event.

  • Publication number: 20070005779
Abstract: Systems and methods operate to verify the origin of page requests. The systems and methods use a client identification value that may be sent from a client to a server. The server uses the client identification value to determine that the origin of the request matches the origin of previous requests so that personalized or other private data is not improperly sent to the wrong client. One aspect of the systems and methods includes creating the client identification value on the client and sending the client identification value to a server. The client identification value may then be compared in subsequent requests to the server to verify that the subsequent request comes from the same origin.

  • Patent number: 5351038
Abstract: A circuit breaker locator comprises a housing having a plunger projecting outwardly at one end and reciprocably moveable within the housing. The plunger is coupled to a spring urged retractable contact at the opposite end of the housing. The housing also includes, at the end with the retractable contact, a pair of contacts extending outwardly therefrom which are coupled to a fuse and a pilot light connected in parallel with the fuse. In operation, the pair of contacts are inserted into an electrical outlet and the plunger is actuated forcing the retractable ground contact into the outlet. The device automatically trips a circuit breaker related to the particular outlet so that it is possible to check which circuit breaker is connected to the outlet. If the breaker fails to trip, the alarm light, which is connected parallel with the fuse, is activated indicating a faulty circuit breaker. The circuit breaker locator provides a ready and safe means of determining what circuit breaker is related to what outlet.

  • Patent number: 4047914
Abstract: A self-supporting, self-gasketing, multi-stage, variable density glass fiber sleeve filter is disclosed and includes a reusable internal wire frame with a composite, low velocity fluid entry filter member on one side of the frame and a fluid egress member on the other side of the frame. The fluid entry filter member is made of two or more layers of medium to long filament puffed glass fiber that differ in thickness and density. The entry and egress members are stitched along longitudinal edge portions so as to form an open ended sleeve that can be slid on and off of the reusable frame. The sleeve is dimensioned such that when it is slid onto the frame both the entry and egress members are tensioned across the frame such that the entry member is outwardly curved with respect to the egress member.
