  • Patent number: 11937822
Abstract: A device for creating a fistula between blood vessels operates in conjunction with a guidewire to locate and position itself so that it straddles both vessels and is able to draw them together. A fixing agent is released either from within the device or from an external needle, or both, into the procedural site. The fixing agent functions to hold the relative position of the two vessels, to seal the surrounding tissue so that any leaks that do occur don't spread into the tissue to create a hematoma, and to limit expansion of the fistula. After the vessels are in close proximity to each other and the fixing agent is applied, the device of the invention employs a cutting mechanism which opens a portal between the two vessels.

  • Patent number: 5131364
Abstract: A setting lever (8) adapted to be turned mechanically is seated in turnable manner on a throttle-valve shaft (2) of a throttle-valve connection (1). A driver arm (12) of the setting lever engages between two legs (10, 11) of a coupling spring (9). Another driver arm (13) which is firmly attached to the throttle-valve shaft (2) also engages between said legs (10, 11). In this way an electric motor (4) which is developed as stepping motor can turn the throttle-valve shaft (2), for instance, on a basis of commands of an anti-slip control or of a speed control, regardless of the position of the setting lever (8).

  • Patent number: 5036816
Abstract: In a throttle-valve connection (1), two intake channels (2, 3) are provided alongside of each other, each having a throttle valve (4, 5). The two throttle valve (4, 5) are driven by separate setting motors (17, 18). The setting shaft (6, 7) of the throttle valve (4, 5) are connected to each other by an entrainment connection (8) which has play. Sliding clutches (9, 10) permit rotation of the throttle valve (6, 7) in the direction towards idling even if the gearing (11, 12) or setting motor (17, 18) is blocked.

  • Patent number: 5005546
Abstract: A setting device is provided for a feed device, in particular the throttle valve of an internal combustion engine with idling speed control, in which the throttle valve is located in the intake manifold. The throttle valve is connected to a displacement rod and pretensioned by a return spring. A first, adjustable stop and a second, fixed stop are provided for an actuating lever of the throttle valve. The second, fixed stop limits the adjustment range of the first stop for a minimal opening of the throttle valve. An idle stop, which is preferably developed as single-piece lever, acts with the actuating lever. By cooperation of the idle stop lever with the two stops, there is assured, on the one hand, a control of the idle position of the throttle valve, in which case a minimal opening position is established, while, on the other hand, an idle position of the throttle valve with a somewhat larger opening than the minimal opening is assured in the event that the idle speed control fails or becomes defective.

  • Patent number: 4944267
Abstract: A displacement device for a throttle valve of an internal combustion engine in idling condition, has a housing, a diaphragm which is arranged in a chamber in the housing and is operatively connected to the throttle valve, a spring in the chamber, which spring acts with one end against the diaphragm, a vacuum connection to the one chamber, a connection for atmospheric pressure, a coil, and an armature which is axially displaceable in the coil, a valve body being firmly connected to the armature and keeping a connection for atmospheric pressure open or closed corresponding to its instantaneous position. A single connection for atmospheric pressure leads to the chamber and is kept open or closed by the valve body. The connection for vacuum is also kept open or closed by the valve body, the two connections being opened alternately. The valve body is acted on by the spring. The coil current is provided as control variable for the position of the throttle valve.

Abstract: The present invention refers to a setting device for a feed device, particularly a throttle valve of an internal combustion engine with idling speed-of-rotation control in which the throttle valve, arranged in the intake pipe, is connected with a displacement rod and is pretensioned by a return spring. A first adjustable stop and a second fixed stop are provided for an actuating lever of the throttle valve, the second, fixed stop limiting the adjustment range of the first stop for a minimum opening of the throttle valve. An abutment member which is preferably developed as a lever cooperates with the two stops and is acted on by a mechanical reset means.

  • Patent number: 4914550
Abstract: A fastening device can be rapidly handled without tools for securing a module of electronic components within a housing. The device brings the module into thermally conductive contact with the housing to assure heat transfer for cooling the module. For this purpose there is proposed a hook-shaped lever which is pivoted on the module and is suspended on the housing. During a swinging movement, the lever moves the module initially parallel to a contact surface and thereupon towards it. The module is additionally supported on an outer support in the housing.

  • Patent number: 4796615
Abstract: A quick disconnect connector for use with a system for measuring depth of anaesthesia of a patient. For this purpose, a probe is attached to a patient to detect esophageal contractions. The probe is connected to a patient station by means of flexible tri-lumen tubing. The patient station provides a pressure transducer, a source of pressurized air, and a thermistor connection, and in turn is operatively connected to a microprocessor which controls the entire operation. One conduit of the tubing enables communication between a liquid filled balloon within the probe and the transducer at the patient station. Another conduit enables an air balloon within the probe to be connected to the source of pressurized air. Still another conduit receives the electrical lead which extends to the thermistor.

  • Patent number: 4530326
Abstract: A device for the transmission by electrical transmission means 2 of the set-point between an idling position and a full-gas position of an electrical set-point adjuster 1 which is displaceable by the driver of a vehicle by means of a regulating unit, and controls the speed of travel of the vehicle by a control element 4 which is displaceable in corresponding manner between an idling position and a full-gas position. The control element is coupled to a control member 6 which controls the fuel-air mixture of an internal-combustion engine. Between the set-point adjuster 1 and the control element 4 there is arranged a mechanical transmission element 7 which can be coupled with the set-point adjuster 1 and the control element 4 and by which the position of the set-point adjuster 1 can be transmitted to the control element 6.

  • Patent number: 4505151
Abstract: A position indicator which can be coupled to a gas pedal has a housing with a substantially cylindrical hollow inner space. A rotary resistor is arranged fixed against turning in a mount which can be fastened to the housing. A setting shaft for the rotary resistor is connected with a drive shaft of the position indicator so as to be actuated by a turning movement of the drive shaft. The drive shaft and the setting shaft are turned back by at least one restoring spring when the gas pedal is released. A member connected with the drive shaft serves to accommodate the restoring springs and for the arrangement or development of an actuating member for a kick-down switch.
