Patent number: 8763513Abstract: A control system for controlling the movement of a system such as a hydraulic servo controlled gimbal systems. The system includes a plurality of actuators and sensors that sense the position of the actuators. On start up, a control system determines the present orientation of the system and compared it to a user defined desired orientation. The system operates in a first mode on start up where the control system moves the actuators so that the system is moved form the present orientation to the desired orientation at a controlled rate. Once the desired orientation is reached, control is then passed to a user controlled device such as a joystick.Type: GrantFiled: February 2, 2012Date of Patent: July 1, 2014Inventor: Arnold Peterson

Patent number: 8539566Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for monitoring managed resources by subscribing to broadcast notifications relayed by a Java Management Extensions (JMX) message bridge between JMX managed beans (JMX MBeans) and a client application with user interface (UI) components. In an embodiment, ADOBE™ FLEX™ user UI components subscribe to JMX broadcast notifications. The method generates messages destined for UI components using a JMX broadcaster. JMX MBeans are created in a JMX server and are subscribed to JMX broadcasts. The JMX MBeans are created with filter values identifying destination UI components. A JMX managed object name is passed to the UI during the creation of the UI components. The UI components become consumers of a message topic. A JMX message adapter dedicated to the communication with the JMX MBeans receives JMX broadcast notifications. Messages generated by the JMX broadcaster are relayed to the destination UI components through the JMX MBeans.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 2010Date of Patent: September 17, 2013Assignee: Sybase, Inc.Inventors: James Arnold Peterson, Ilya Kagansky, Christopher Allen Bergin

Patent number: 8069772Abstract: Methods and systems for controlling a hydraulic motor are described. By way of illustration, a motor control system has a first input configured to receive a step/direction command signal. A second input is configured to receive a position signal from a motor position sensor, such as a continuous turn motion sensor coupled to a hydraulic motor. A processing system is configured to control a hydraulic servo valve based at least in part on the step/direction command signal and the position signal.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2008Date of Patent: December 6, 2011Inventor: Arnold Peterson

Publication number: 20080087356Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide an apparatus which includes an apparatus body, a splitter for splitter relatively larger pieces of material into relatively smaller pieces of material coupled with the apparatus body, and a grinder for grinding the relatively smaller pieces of material also coupled with the apparatus body. A power source may be adapted to provide power to both the grinder and the splitter. The grinding can be accomplished with minimal repositioning of the relatively smaller pieces once split. The splitting, then the grinding can be accomplished with little to no translational movement within a job site of a nearby piece of equipment adapted for picking up first the relatively larger pieces then the relatively smaller pieces.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 12, 2007Publication date: April 17, 2008Applicant: PETERSON PACIFIC CORPORATIONInventors: Arnold Peterson, Chad Sageser
