Abstract: A ski provided with a multiple number of spaced-apart members, preferably in the form of rotatable beveled discs mounted along the side wall of the ski at its central binding portion, with each of the members defining a lower metal apex, such as the outer peripheral edge of the beveled disc, terminating not substantially below the plane of the bottom running surface of the ski laterally spaced outwardly from the side wall, so that a line intersecting said apex and the closest adjacent point of the lower outward edge of the bottom running surface forms an acute angle of 0 to 20.degree. with said running surface plane.
