  • Publication number: 20160377474
Abstract: A remote level sensor for a residential fuel oil tank is adapted for a fuel oil gauge with a permanent magnet which changes position with changing fluid levels in the tank. The sensor and gauge cylinder are integral so as to align with a magnet on the indicator of the gauge. The sensor is connected a remote monitoring website on the internet by means of a radio connection to a local area network. The sensor has multiple magnetic sensors each in a different relative position. The sensors detect the position of the magnet when the magnet is within a certain distance. Several sensors may detect the magnet and each sensor's output will be proportional to the magnet's distance from it. Two or three sensor outputs are sufficient to interpolate the absolute position of the magnet and thus the fuel oil level in the tank. The controller has a scanning routine that samples the sensor outputs periodically and formats the data into an HTTP POST or PUT message.

  • Patent number: 5228155
Abstract: A multi-tilting movement platform that periodically and gradually tilts a platform supporting a person's body, that platform tilting periodically and gradually, side to side and head to foot; the side tilt following the head tilt and preceding the foot tilt, and so on. The apparatus enables a user to experience sensations which have been reported as relaxing, stress relieving and beneficial. The apparatus comprises a base, a platform for holding a human body thereon, an elongated teeter-totter board pivotally mounted upon the base, a drive shaft upon which is mounted a tilted plate. Low frictional rollers support the platform on the tilted plate with the platform also being pivotally supported on a first pivot axis on the teeter-totter board with the teeter-totter board being mounted on a second pivot axis on the base. The first pivot axis is oriented perpendicular to the second pivot axis.

  • Patent number: 5044377
Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a reclined human subject while periodically and gradually varying the elevation of the subject's head and feet. The apparatus includes a support platform mounted for rotation in its plane with respect to an axis extending normal to it and inclined from vertical.
